Ram Rides - Ram River Tours

Ram River Tours is a backcountry paradise! My family and friends have escaped to the Ram Cabins and tents several times over the past 3 years, and we are returning again this summer. Awesome location, clean and comfortable cabins and tents, delicious meals and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ram River Tours have a great herd of horses for trail riding and very experienced guides. Our group has hiked some of the many backcountry trail choices and mountain summits from the cabins and we have also done full day rides in the North Ram River country on their well trained horses. The owners of Ram Rides-Ram River Tours are great people, and they know the Ram area so well and have introduced us to some incredible backcountry adventures.

Wonderful place in a magical spot. My friend and I rented a cabin for the weekend and it was even better than I could have hoped for. Sharmane was trusting, super friendly, and helpful. We'll absolutely be back. No electricity and no cell phone service which made it even better!

Ram River Tours is a piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere. We have been going there for few years now and we love it. The location is very peaceful, they have 3 log cabins on the property with everything you need: wooden stove, beds with linens, all the cooking utensils, plates and pots, outdoor fire pit with all the BBQ gadgets. Dry firewood including kindling is there for you. You wake up in the morning and the horses are wondering around with their bells ringing. No WiFi or cell phone reception which makes the place even more enjoyable. The staff is very friendly, they will accommodate all your horseback riding needs. If you are a beginner rider or advanced, they will make sure that you are comfortable on the horse and they are always ready to support you on the way.

I am writing this on behalf of my Wife and Daughter based on their account of the ride.My Wife and Daughter went for a 4 hour guided ride and had the pleasure of meeting a lovely guide for their journey. The guide went above and beyond and gave them some extra time in the saddle which was deeply appreciated by my Family. Beautiful setting, valley, hills, streams and wonderfully secluded. My Wife will make this a tradition with our daughter.Something worth mentioning is they cater to different levels of skill. My wife and daughter have riding experience and the laid back and trusting atmosphere allowed them to experience things they never had in arena riding. However Ram Rides knows horses and riders and can quickly identify the level you are at. This made for a real-deal trail riding experience. They felt safe but not smothered.Finally, I will add that one of the horses the girls rode had a colt and the colt playfully followed and joined them which added to the adorable factor you never knew you needed. Quite amazing to see how much personality they have and how much they toy with the humans. We had a great time here. No electricity or cell service but the cabin was wonderful with all the basics. It’s pretty far down the road but that’s part of why we liked it so much. Very quiet and secluded place and the owners are great!

Love it out here. The winter cabins are so peaceful and the summer out riding theres always great people and horses

I`ve worked there a couple of summers and it was the best time of my live. This place is so beautyfull, not touristy and you can see a lot of God`s wonderfull creation there.I got to know natural way of working an living with horses and they really have a good life with so much free time just to be wild and just beeing horses.People, food, accommodation are really good an friendly and I can totally advice this place for a holiday or a horsetrip.

Certainly heaven on Earth! Home away from home and one of the most peaceful places to be.
