I've been shopping at Central Fresh Market (formerly Central Meat Market) for many many years. The best meat selection in the Region of Waterloo. My favourite are the Pigtails (short cut). So many choices for pork and beef. They make their own ground beef. If you want a special cut, just ask at the counter. A large selection of European products - my source for Hayward's Pickled Onions. Great selection of produce -- Cipollini onions and loose Yukon Gold potatoes. Excellent customer service!

Nice to see the store taking a stand against shoplifters and having backpacks and bags left at the front. Not even remotely cool that an employee started rummaging through a customers bag right after they walked away. I wonder if Judith found anything good in that customers bag? Central, you need to get you business in check.

Love this store .Always get amazing deals. Love the meat section99% of the staff are amazing . Brent is always super helpful. Josana, Brenda, Sadaie ,Judith are amazing at the checkouts and customerservice. Al and Mike are shining stars in the meat department. Allie and Brohman know their veggies and fruit.Very knowledgeable. Staff have even helped me pick up groceries and get them in my car . I understand young people have attitude . But the young girl 20 ish with the short dirty blonde hair has attitude. I think her name is Kelsee .When she's at customer service I avoid getting lotto tickes. I don't like hearing the rude mummbles. If she is working customer service she should be happy. Or work in a different department. Maybe the freezers. Thank you Brent for being amazing

I've been going to central for the last 10 years off and on due to the fact they have cheap prices in some parts of the store. But now these people are getting greedy trying to make you buy the higher end stuff instead of the lower end stuff. Example now they're trying to sell chicken saying that there's not protein in it so you have to buy the more expensive stuff this is not right. Canadians are struggling as it is and these companies are now making it worse.

It's as if KW Surplus pretended to be a grocery store.Been in this neighbourhood for 10 years. This store was my go to, but has totally gone down hill.On 3 separate occasions this month I walked home with expired times. The kind of items that shouldn't be expired in a grocery store ever.Visit #1 hot dog buns, expired by 5 days!Visit #2 milk expire by 2 days!Visit #3 a chocolate bar expired by who knows how many years. It was milky white and gooey at room temp. The whole thing was trash destined.The produce is looking rough. The meat too. Not worth my time to bother going here anymore even though it's the closest grocery store from my house.Baffles me since more high end living has been built in the area. You would think they would offer food that isn't discounted seconds.

This is a nice little store, packed, little room to move around, the self-checkout screen was confusing as heck, never seen anything like it before anywhere in Ontario, when asked for help the staff was annoyed for being asked how to pay on that terminal - they is ZERO buttons on that screen that says PAY NOW.

Very disappointed, I called in advance to verify that they had saffron in stock. The girl on the phone said she would personally check, and that they did. Then when shopping 30 minutes later, they didn't have it, nor have they had it in stock for a while. Very disappointing customer service.
