Gateway to Greenwich Suites

Just renovated. 2 bedrooms with kitchen and living room. Feel like home! Perfect classic PEI view just outside your window.

Very clean, absolutely new, comfortable beds, and everything I needed was in place. The innkeepers were very accessible, friendly and responsive to our needs (and questions). I also appreciated having access to a well-equipped kitchen since the source of ready-to-eat food was not accessible during my visit. Nevertheless I found a couple of places to get food (amazing freshly cooked lobster-Julio’s, and the Black and White Cafe) so all was well. I will recommend this place to friends with a caveat that they will need to carefully sort out food sources before coming to St. Peter’s Bay. Nevertheless this was my favourite leg of my five-day cycling trip, with easy 8k cycling distance to the Greenwich National Park (boardwalk, dunes, beach, the Atlantic Ocean) and the Greenwich beach on another end. Beautiful. Just beautiful.

We were the first guests of the newly renovated Gateway to Greenwich Suites. On a bike tour heading east on the Confederation Trail, Gateway to Greenwich was a perfect stop for two nights so we could spend a whole day out at Greenwich National Park. We are glad we did that as the ride out to the Greenwich National Park was spectacular and hanging out on the beach was so relaxing. Our unit was fully renovated to a high standard and was a two bedroom, one bathroom suite. The main floor was the kitchen, living and dining rooms with lots of space and a new flat screen TV to watch your favorite TV shows. At the time of writing the cable was not hooked up yet, but with fast internet and a smartphone you can cast to the smart tv from the app on your phone easily. Upstairs were two good sized bedrooms with comfortable queen sized beds and a compact three piece bathroom. The unit was furnished with brand new furniture, beds, kitchen and all associated necessities for cooking in house. There was also a propane barbeque that we could use on the deck - which was very handy. We bought fresh fish from Julio's across the street and used the barbeque to grill the fish for dinner. If you don't want to cook yourself, then Rick's Fish and Chips is a stone's throw and has great seafood. Breakfast was continental-style with cereals, yoghurt, and some store-bought baked goods, fruit salad, apples and oranges. Coffee was a keurig machine with k-cup pods. A simple, but filling breakfast to get us on our bikes for our final leg of the Confederation Trail (which is just across the bridge). The new owners are very nice and have done a good job at renovating the suites. We would highly recommend a stop at Gateway to Greenwich if you plan on spending a couple of days in the area.

We both had the seafood chowder and a lobster roll with homemade fries we split. Is was delicious, with big chunks of lobster. Reasonable prices and other great things on the menu to eat. Very friendly. I highly recommend stopping here with a wonderful outdoor deck.

They have great clean spacious rooms. The restaurant is fabulous and excellent atmosphere. The owners go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. Will highly recommend to anyone visiting the area to stay there its well worth it

This was such a welcoming place to stay, room was beautiful and extremely clean. Hosts were very friendly and helpfully with recommendations on place to go and see. We will definitely return back to this place!!!

Excellent. The owner is so welcoming & took care of our bikes. It has a full kitchen so one night we bought lobster from the fish store which is a short walk away and made a wonderful dinner. Part of our group walked to the floating bridge by the dunes. Another biked the same area. I did the five minute bike to the Nordic Spa. Everyone was happy. The second night we made a crab cake dinner. If u like wine bring it with u. Except for the spa this is a dry town. Close by shops also.

Fresh ingredients, good portions. Staff was friendly, service a bit slow. Great place to energize after a bike from Morrell! Air conditioned, sit yourself down, debit/credit machine available. Bathrooms are clean.

This is a beautifully renovated inn, with much care and attention to detail. Everything was there that we needed and it felt just like home! The innkeepers were absolutely amazing! Very responsive to our questions and went out of their way to make our stay special. E location, very clean and excellent value for money. Can’t say enough about this inn! Will definitely come back!

Pros- nice place, very clean, friendly owners.There is a BBQ to use on the front deck that worked very well!Cons- beds were far too hard for my families liking (I know this is a personal preference but we did not sleep well). Booked room for four people and were left with half a roll of toilet paper in the room, two Kleenex in the box, and two bath towels.
