I just called the Embassy of Ireland in Ottawa. My call was answered right away by a very helpful staff member who answered my questions and gave me the information I needed.

Took them nearly 2 months to let me know my passport copy was denied. Another month and a half to actually process the visa once resent. Wasted so much money waiting; don't even bother. Cheers.

I’ve honestly never had a good experience with any embassies since I’m from a third world country but the Irish embassy gave the best service I’ve ever had in my life. Everything went as smooth as could be and they gave me the correct information and tips on how to apply for a tourist visa.

I called the embassy to inquire about transit and short term visas to Ireland and the agent not only returned my call, but was also very helpful with the information provided. I think this is the most useful information I’ve received from calling an embassy before.

The worst experience ever in getting a visa.I was living in Spain, France, and Germany. I traveled to the UK. I got visa(s) from those countries quickly and without any issues.This embassy, I kept calling it for two weeks and no one replied. And when the officer called me back (finally), she was rude!The best joke after all of this, my passport was returned, why? They can't verify my signature! And they wrote: Check the passport signature". There is no signature in my passport except the one from the "Director of the Passport Department" in my country.Because of the "professional" officer

Best visa experience of my life with an Iranian passport believe me it's not easy. They ask for more documentation and it's paper-based but the phone lines are super responsive, they allowed me to send additional document virtually, and the business visa process was very fast! 10/10

I applied for Business Visa twice and both times it came in 6 weeks. Long Documentation process but happy with the processing time.

Highly unprofessional, rude, and arrogant people work at this place.Literally provided COMPLETE Itinerary details for a round trip, details on hotel stay, and the Visa was denied citing hotel information not provided as the reason. Several calls and emails and they did not even once acknowledged the mistake at their part.SERIOUSLY, are you guys having eye-sight issues or do not know how to read documents properly? What a scam these people are, they are not co-operative at all. Have dealt with other Embassies, and no one is as bad as Embassay of Ireland. Choose a better destination people, the frustraiton in dealing with these guys is not worth it.
