U-Haul Moving & Storage of N Vancouver

I went to this store today for some moving needs and I had an amazing experience. Fernando, the assistant manager of the store, first helped me with modifying a reservation, and then for choosing some boxes and accessories. She had such a great attitude and I left the store with absolute delight.

Rented a pickup truck from this U-Haul. The experience was awesome. The truck looked like brand new and was superb clean. Also, the staffs working here are very friendly and helpful. Will recommend to others.

We needed to rent a trailer to move some materials. I booked it online which was suppose to be seamless. They needed a longer time to find my reservation but found it. Tip: make sure you have all the equipment needed to put on the trailer hitch.They were thorough in making sure it was put on firmly. Tip: make sure you take photos of the hitch before leaving & complete the safety check link they send you. The price was only $34.95 for the day. The amount is charged when you return the trailer. Much more cost effective than paying someone a lot of money to haul things for you.

I did the check in online with my father driver license which is a professional Italian driver license, when he got at the location Mariam said that he need to translate his driver license and they can't give him the trailer even though the police accepted many times his driver license, then I spoke with them and tried to manage with them by sending my Canadian driver license but Jinsu Mariam said she can't do the check in if I'm not there to give her my driver license in person (but actually you can do the check in online). So I hade to loose the ferry to get there and she just took 2 pictures and uploaded them on the website, which could have be done by email. Then we had to wait 45 mins because none of the trailers had working lights so we had to wait them to fix it. So my dad who was supposed to take another ferry lost his ferry too because he had to wait for the repair. Disgusting situation.

Should have trusted reviews a little more but now stuck in an annoying situation. This will spur me to contact government regarding shady uhaul customer service bait-and-switch practices and how they can address this.Situation: about 3 weeks ago I reserved (the words on their order form) a 20 truck to pickup at the North Van location evening of tomorrow and to drop off the next day on the island after we move over which requires am awful lot of planning and coordination.Uhaul phones me today and says "Sir about your reservation tomorrow

The Van we rented has false fuel meter. It goes up and down as you start and drive. What’s more annoying is it can’t be refueled in one go, we spent about 25 min at the gas station refilling it 0.2-0.5 litres at a time. The staffs at the location did nothing to address these issues after we report back, didn’t even show a sign of apology. I will never come back again.

I booked a truck online and when I arrived on site 15 minutes later, I was asked for all my information again, including my credit card number.The woman wasn't wearing a mask and repeatedly stood close to other customers while talking with them about boxes and other moving supplies.The staff outside were helpful when I walked into the lot and explained that the woman inside gave me no information how to proceed with obtaining my rental. He was also helpful when I returned the truck.

I had a trailer hitch put on and they did a great job but more than that they were so accommodating with timing and changing the installation appointment when I had trouble with all the snow.Also I came back later to get the ball switched on my actual hitch and they were super helpful.

We booked our U-Haul online and wanted to change it to bigger size. Called them more than 5 times and at the end couldn't get the bigger car.Not happy with their customer service.Store has all moving supplies to purchase.

I was given a truck with an empty tank! Tank should be at least at the 1/4 full when received and when returned. I only used the large truck for one trip less than 6 miles (very little by any standards) and yet put $60 in the tank so I can start my day (bad idea!). I was told I will be reimbursed for the extra gas I put in the tank; this was hardly the case. the amount reimbursed was $26! I will not even get into the customer service which was sub-par! none of the 4 people I interacted with greeted or even acknowledged my presence at first, almost no eye contact, even after asking for assistance and responses were in a dismissive careless manner. Not a good experience all around. will not recommend.
