Hayden Block Smoke & Whiskey
We enjoyed a lively pub scene with live music. The stout was excellent, and the brisket had a good amount of smoke taste. It was tender enough to eat with just a fork. We split the whole meal and we could not finish the meal. The mac and cheese had a bit of spice, but not overbearing ( perfect for me, a little too spicy for my wife).

I came back to Calgary to (among other reasons) find the city's best BBQ restaurant. This place did not disappoint. The most tender brisket I've ever enjoyed. Homemade beans with the perfect marriage of sweet, smoky, and spicy. Live blues music for the ideal atmosphere. Absolutely incredible. Can't be beat.

Hayden Block is a great smoke house! They have tons of different options including brisket, ribs, and chicken.We tried the brisket, chicken, and bacon-wrapped corn on the cob. All of the food was pretty good and the sauces made it even better.The server was also friendly and Hayden Block has a great patio for the summer.

The food portion was good for the price. However,everything was served and dumped into a plate, which disappointed us. We needed to ask where the other items were or what’s in there. We enjoyed the brisket, tender and aromatic,great with their wide selection of whiskey.The music is too loud,can barely make conversations. Considering that they play punk/rock music which involved lots of shouting and instrumental riffs! Servers were attentive and fantastic. No parking available.

This is a great place. Awesome service and a fun vibe. Meats were good, the sides and homemade sauces are awesome. They also have a great beer list.

Fantastic dinner spot in Calgary, loved the atmosphere and music! DEFINITELY make a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night, by some miracle they had a table for us without one. We ordered pulled pork, burnt brisket ends, coleslaw and corn bread. The pulled pork was a bit dry but the BBQ sauces they had on the table complimented it nicely. The burnt ends are a MUST try, and so is the cornbread. Best cornbread we've ever had! The cocktails were also delicious, specifically the smoked old fashioned. Whiskey menu is the biggest we've ever seen.

I was quite late (10pm) and they were still serving food. I was pleasantly surprised that the meats were significantly discounted I think 50% off?I got the brisket and pulled pork and both were amazing. (Would recommend the spicy sauce)Both the manager and the bartender I chatted with were super friendly and made me tequila infused drinks.10/10 would recommend visiting and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Wow wow wow! Been here so many times and it never disappoints. The food, ambiance and decore create a special night out. Staff were friendly and helpful with understanding the menu (lol). The meal was tasty and there are many different food options to choose from. If you like whiskey in any way they have more than enough options.They have lots of seating, offer live music and have plenty staff to take your order. The interior is cool and you want just stay and hangout.It’s located in Kensington so parking kinda sucks but besides that this place is A+.Hit it up for BBQ!!

Planets all aligned! Perfect weather for dining outside, happy hour (half priced) whiskey (over 100 choices) and brisket as good as any I've ever had in Texas. Turkey was solid, but next time I will go all in on brisket, adding a bit of the espresso sauce. Server was perfect as well -friendly, accessable, and knowledgeable
