Tiendona Market Inc

For decades I have been shopping at La Tiendona. They have the best selection of Latin American and Mexican products. Many other stores have opened in town but they continue to surpass the competition. They also listen to customer feedback and make changes to their products if quality has been compromised. Perhaps I pick up an item or two at another store because I live far from the store, but if I am making a big pantry stock up I go to La Tiendona. Sometimes I have to drive to the store because it's the only Latin American store that has the products I need or the brands I like. It's a very friendly store with very welcoming and helpful staff. They go the extra mile to check at the back" and help me take stuff to my car (without me even asking for it)."

Great place for Hot Sauce and Jalapenos :0) Lots of other cool stuff. I will be a customer for a long time. Even if I am only there once in awhile. I have always been treated very well.

The variety of Latino products is excellent and the prices are not cheap but fair I should say, the attention of Don Luis and the Argentinian guy is excellent and always smiling and ready to help. The bad thing are the ladies in the front desk, they are quite rude and seems to be upset the whole time, we have visited for several years now and their attitude towards people is the same or even worst year after year.It is unfortunate that the prestige of a business can be negatively impacted by the attitude of some grumpy employees. Usually they always charge you bill way more of the price tagged in the products themselves. At least this happen four times, they always mention it was a “mistake” which is very frequent. Stay aware and vigilant.Respectfully

Wow! Small store, but the service is outstanding! Didn’t find exactly what I wanted, but some employees there helped me find other products I didn’t even know I wanted! Brilliant!

What has happened to this place? I used to enjoy coming here to find little treats and now, I am shocked by their outrageous prices, under stocked shelves, and worst of all, coming home to find out their pan dulce is rotten! What are they doing with it? It must be frozen and thawed, def NOT fresh, ugh. I am telling EVERYONE to stay away. Too bad too because theres not that many options in Calgary :(

Great place for this harder to find Latin American foods or ingredients. Nice people, always friendly and helpful. Downside is parking. Saturdays can be hard to get a spot, but don't let that stop you from making the trip.

This family run Latin grocery store is the BEST. Huge selection of chillies, hot sauces, masa and more which I love. So many locally made tortillas ready to go for dinner..The prices are so great for these otherwise overpriced in big stores and hard to find Latin items. My Mexican Mum is a big fan of going here and so am I. Plus I love supporting the family that runs this place. They’re all so kind and friendly when you’re go in..BEST LATIN grocery store in YYC!!

It is always pleasant to my wife and I when we shop at Tiendona Market. Luis the owner always receives us with a great smile and a very welcoming attitude. We love all the great variety of Latin products there.
