I called this store in a panic, the website said it had a book, a specific book for me, I book I just needed, (I called) and there was one left. I had an employee ( wish I had her name for this), search for it, and search for it she did, wasn't just in the alphabetical section, being just one it was out on display, and she found it!!! Put it behind checkout for me, and it was there when I got there a half hour later. In fact, everyone of the staff I encountered that day were polite and respectful, respectful as in letting one just look around". And this is what readers do

Ordered two books online (vs using the big global A… store). Received in minutes the order confirmation with location nearby to pickup the books at the mall in Belleville the very same day.When I arrived I was greeted very friendly and had the books in minutes.Love to shop local.

Bad customer service. Told me that the kiosks were for old people and not to get used to them. Also , when asking for help to locate a book the staff member rolled her eyes and told me to check online first.

Chapters (and by extension Indigo) are slowly devolving into an expensive gift shop and toy store, leaving the promotion of literature as an afterthought.
