Service: Aeration for lawn. Jim’s Mowing is very professional, and George and Joe did very well work for me. They are deserved 5 stars. Their work is great, and they are very patient to explain any question. When I contact them they will respond quickly.

George Missel was a great guy, easy to talk to. Had him in to trim our trees, which were a mess. Honest about the work. Did exactly what he said he would, when he said he would. No surprises.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jim’s Mowing. George was able to get us in right away for a spring yard clean up and regular lawn care. They did a great job!

George responded quickly to my request for help in the garden. He and Joe came and spent a whole day digging out shrubs & perennials (and a small tree!), transplanting, pruning, edging, raking, tidying - and even gutter cleaning!!! They worked hard and consistently for a whole day, and got everything done that I asked. They were both extremely pleasant and helpful. This is the first time I’ve hired gardeners to do some of the heavier work, and though it wasn’t cheap, it was absolutely worth it and I will do it again. I highly recommend George & his gardening partner Joe.

This is an update to the work that was done. Unfortunately I have to give a poor review. George is excellent to talk with and the work was done well. However, the results are very poor. I wanted my lawn to look lush and green. Well, it did, for 2 months. Then the same bare spots and weeds that were there to begin with starting showing up again. They do not do any weed control. When I found that out I expressed concern. George said it was not needed if the grass was healthy. But I don't think they used good quality seed. It grew fast but it didn't last. I think they use a lot of annual grass in the seed. There was no Kentucky Blue Grass which has runners and would fill in bare spots. Now a year later, my lawn looks WORSE than when we had the work done by Jim's Mowing. More weeds. More bare spots. And the ground is totally compacted - they put down sand.Really, really, really disappointed. Wasted money.

Our lawns were looking very poor after last summer's drought. We noticed that the neighbor's lawn looked fantastic and saw Jim's Mowing at their place. So I asked George for an assessment and he said he was confident he could get our lawn looking great. We scheduled the autumn work. The weather did not cooperate and the work could not get done. Instead of keeping our deposit, George returned it and put us on his first call list for the spring.Spring came and George called to see if we still wanted his company. The neighbor's lawn was still looking mighty fine and there was no hesitation. The weather again did not cooperate. But instead of just doing the work in subpar conditions, George kept us up to date weekly waiting for just the right time to do the work. Finally there was a chance. They did the work quickly, professionally and completely. All that was left was for us to put in the effort to make sure the ground was kept moist.It didn't take too long for the lawn to show some seedlings and it got better from there. After 6 weeks, the grass looks so lush and emerald green. It truly is enjoyable to see the yard looking very healthy and knowing that the lawn has been given all it needs to have a good growing season.George is very knowledgeable and patient with any questions you might have. It's been a very good experience with Jim's Mowing.Update-- going to have to modify the good review from last year. Yes the lawn looked good at first, but it didn't last. The weeds which they didn't address took over. The seed they used was probably cheaper annual grass and died out leaving a lot of bare spots. Didn't get our money's worth.

George Missel and his colleague, Joe, did an excellent job in my yard recently. They were on-time, paid attention to details, very helpful, professional as well as friendly.I have been using Jim’s Mowing for around 10 years for seasonal yard work and some maintenance. During recent visit I had pruning and yard cleanup done. Everything from assessment to estimate to doing the work was quite efficient. George was very responsive in terms of communication. Great work all around.

Adam and Gillian did a great job of pruning trees, trimming our hedges and reviving our lawn. They are personable, take their job seriously, show up on time and go the extra mile. They checked back a couple of times to make sure the lawn seed was growing and trimmed up a couple of hedge branches that had popped back up....all unasked for. We couldn't recommend them more highly!
