Brought my Honda CR-V into the mechanic because my wheels needed to be rebalanced. They decided they had to change the entire front end at $3000. The vehicle still had the exact same problem afterwards, and they refused to take responsibility for it or admit that it was a problem with the wheel balance. Sure enough when I switched to my winters the problem went away.I asked them for a full vehicle inspection to make sure that it would be worth spending the $3000 on a car over 10 years old, they looked at it and assured me that there was nothing else that was wrong with it. Went to a different mechanic after and they told me that the car would need another $3000+ to make it safe enough to drive.Honestly wouldn't push my worst enemy to take their car here, their mechanic either has no idea what they're doing or is lazy and just straight up lying. Either way, completely untrustworthy.

I made an appointment with Bannister Honda 3 days prior to my service appointment. The appointment clerk was very helpful and friendly, this review is not in reference to her. I indicated that I needed a ride back to Armstrong because of my disability. She clarified with a driver and called me back to confirm that a ride would be available as I needed to leave my vehicle with them for a few hours.I arrived for my appointment with all the information required. I stated to the service clerk that I had already confirmed with the appointment clerk that a ride would be provided to me because of my disability. He told me that they don't give rides to Armstrong. I can't walk from Vernon to Armstrong because of my disability. I told him I had already been told a ride would be provided for me. He stated that they don't go to Armstrong but he would see what he could do because he said he was busy. At this point I asked to speak to the service manager about it. The service manager appeared and was going back and forth inside and out so he didn't seem to have much time for me and my problem. He also said he would try to get me a ride.I asked where I could sit down and found a spot. I called my 83 year old Dad to see if he could assist me. He had just arrived home and said he would come help me. I was trying to be helpful since they kept saying that they were so busy. I was the only customer in the building at the service counter.I went back over to the service desk and said since you are so busy that I had called my dad to come help me. I was trying to be helpful to them. They said they were still working on it and I said it's ok I got a ride. A driver then showed up and I said it's ok, my dad is helping me. At that point I told them that their customer service skills were lacking and terrible. No foul language was used on my part.The service clerk then proceeds to argue back and forth with me about my comment. Really Honda? Is this how you treat your customers, by arguing with them? Even the service manager was not friendly about it. I just wanted to leave and pick up my vehicle later so I left.I received a call 2 1/2 hours later saying my vehicle was ready. My dad then drove me back to Vernon to pick up my vehicle. Nothing else was said. The service clerk went over the paperwork, I signed, paid and left. I then also noticed that my vehicle was not even washed, poor service again. As I left I pushed the accessibility button for the door to open and I hear the service clerk say the button doesn't work. I don't ever want to go back there. Having a working accessibility button in a private business is a requirement in the Accessible Canada Act (ACA), Bill C-81, an Act to ensure a barrier free Canada. Please look it up.We recently moved up to the area from the Fraser valley. We have a new vehicle and have dealt with The Honda Way in Mt. Lehman and they excel at customer service, attention to detail and friendliness.Bannister Honda could take a lesson from them. Arguing with your customers is not the smartest way to deal with issues.I will be calling Honda Canada in Markham, Ontario and they can deal with Bannister Honda in Vernon. As a retired PS word of mouth goes a long way when it comes to referring people to friendly businesses and businesses that support people with disabilities. Do better Bannister Honda.

I know that the auto business has changed a lot since my last purchase of a car but I don't find the way of doing business today better. Used to get a brochure that would show the car and all its components. Now it's up to the customer to look all that up online. I asked for a dark grey car but didn't really know the colour until I picked the car up. I understood that my car would have all weather tires but it doesn't so now I'll have to buy snow tires. Also, I found that communication between me and the dealer could have been better. My salesperson, Qua was very nice and helpful. But with no cars on the lot it is very difficult to buy a car. My new car is lovely but the CR-V is so drastically changed and not for the better. First when it turns off at stop, sometimes it's a bit rough to restart. The front seats are so fitted and seem very narrow. The console in the middle takes up way too much room. I can barely get my hand down to unlock the seat belt. The storage in the doors seems to be only for bottles. The glove compartment seems unecessarily small. Oh and due to the shape of the front seat it is hard to get out of the car. I'll hopefully get used to the car but it's a disappointment and my own fault for choosing it. I had driven a CR-V for 17 years before.

My husband went to Bannister to get our first free oil change done after purchasing our car there.They had offered us a free detailing at the time of purchase but then they offered for us to reschedule the detailing for another day since our little toddler was getting cranky.So coming for the free oil change we asked if it were possible to get that detailing done, they said definitely and should only take an hour.My husband waited for almost 3 hours and once again toddler was getting cranky as he was not expecting a 3 hr wait.After asking how much longer it would take the sales guy replied snarkly well how good of a job do you want ?"After 3 hrs of waiting we got the car back and all that was cleaned was the exterior and the mats

When I received a mailed-out recall notice for my CRV, I was a little perplexed about how to go about getting things processed. I live about 90km away from my nearest dealer, Bannister Honda, and had never done any business with them.But in short time they made an appointment and provided my scheduled wait of about 2hrs with the relief of a courtesy ride to the nearest mall to kill the time.What a delight to be called back promptly to a report of all taken care of

I have been a Bannister Honda loyal customer since 2016 ( bought 2016 and 2017 CRV ) and recommend friends to Bannister eventually our friends got the Accord and Civic from them.But today I was disappointed with the service department clerk , I was there ( Saturday April 22 2023 ) for oil change but the clerk try to sale me other service ‘B’ although I said I just want to oil change first but he keep saying that It won’t be cover buy Honda if something happens to my car because I don’t do “ recommended service “.I understand the clerk try to make the sales and to get percentage but this is not the way he can talk to customer, I feel he is bit to pushy .Advice : don’t try to rip off your customers or you will lost the businessThe sales team and finance team was great but the service team is big no no.

Went in for a regular service and to get my tires changed from winters to summers. I was delivered to my office after dropping off the vehicle and they picked me up promptly when job was finished. The whole process ran smoothly with no surprises. I will definitely be going back.

Working with sales person Jason T and finance manager Kay M was an absolute pleasure! Jason and Kay are extremely patient. I never felt pressured to make a decision, and most importantly, they’re both professionals - who knows the car business inside and out. The buying process of my 2022 CRV hybrid took about 3-weeks. The best part – Jason and Kay stayed in touch with me the entire time which only made the buying experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend you talk to John T in sales and Kay M in finance; if you are considering buying a new or previously owned automobile!
