Corro-Protec

We’ve only had our anode for a week or so but it was easy to install and has eliminated the sulphur smell emanating from our hot water taps. The change happened within hours of installation in our new hot water tank. Delivery took about 3 weeks but we are fairly remote.

I honestly cannot believe how well the rod worked. We have a lot of water issues with one being the horrible smell of our hot water. This rod wasrecommend by a water treatment professional. We installed it ourselves which was very easy to do. 24 hours later there is absolutely no smell to our water. I do not write very many reviews but this one I felt compelled to do for anyone looking to get rid of foul water smell it is a must!!!!!

I installed a corro-protec anode about 3 months ago and have not been disappointed. We have high sulphate in our well water and the sulphate reducing bacteria were creating a “sewer” smell in our hot water so we have been using hydrogen peroxide periodically (once per month) to treat the water. When I received the new anode, our water was starting to smell again so instead of treating it with peroxide I just installed the anode. Within 20 minutes, the smell was gone and has not returned. I am very impressed!

My wife and I recently installed a highbred heat pump water heater. After a couple of weeks using it we noticed that our hot water had a sulfur smell. We also use a water softener.I searched the internet for solutions for water heater sulfur smell and found the Corro-Protec web site.After reading about the titanium anode I decided to give one a try.They advertised 2 day delivery and that is what we got.The directions were straightforward and easy to follow. They even told what size sockets I would need.Installation took about an hour.Our sulfur smell was gone by the next day and I believe our hot water even feels better , softer than before.We are very happy with the anode and I recommend them.

Our water is very hard! We had a new hot water tank put in 3 months prior to installing the Corro-Protec unit. Our hot water didn’t have any bad smell, we had a lot of air/gas pockets on out hot water faucets. As soon as I installed the new unit the problem was gone. That fast. The 3 month old anode that I took out had an incredible amount of corrosion already!! The Corro-Protec is a great product and quite easy to install.

Corro Protec doesn’t work at all. Days later and my hot water smells just as horrible. Wonder if it’s even protecting my water heater from corrosion… huge waste of $150. Extremely dissatisfied.

After months of trying to figure why my hot water smelled like rotten eggs, I was recommended this anode by a plumber. This thing works! Instructions were clear, and installation was simple. Pls note that you will need a socket 1-3/16 to install the anode, which is not a standard size.I recommend without hesitation.

We have lived in our home 20+ years and have always had issues with our well water. About 10 years ago we installed a whole house filtration system and still found that we had to deal with a sulpher smell from our hot water heaters. This last year I researched options on line and found out about the Corro-Protect anode rods. I asked our plumber to install them in the new heaters we purchased a a week ago. They have totally worked! It is still early days but if they continue to provide odor free water for even a year it is money well spent and a win! With the provided 20 year warranty I am expecting them to perform a lot longer! We are very satisfied at this time! Thanks!

Delivered quickly, and installation was simple……just as advertised. When I removed the existing magnesium anode, it was over half gone, and had calcified as well. That was after only 6 months in use. I’m looking forward to not having to think about changing it anymore. Highly recommend this product!!
