U92 Spice House & Take Away
Excellent customer service and the only halal restaurant in Port Hope. The food is good and freshly prepared. They have a whole variety of drinks available in their fridge. Their butter chicken and rice were great. The roti and jerk chicken were great as well, but I advise to ask them to pack the roti separately in the future. By the time you get to eat it, the roti soaks up all the gravy. This is also only a take out restaurant.

Great stop on a road trip! I had the Butter Chicken Loti, my daughter had the Butter Chicken meal, husband had the Shwarma wrap & son had some chicken tenders. The man behind the counter made everything to order & it was all full of flavor! If you’re in the area, stop here!

I placed an order for pick up, chicken curry and beef curry extra sauce. I was told 30 minutes. I went a bit before the time given. I walked in and was hit by delicious smells.I made conversation with the owner, who told me he makes everything from scratch including the hummus dip. I was excited to get home.That excitement didn’t leave as I opened my dish and was greeted by smells. First bite I was hookedI will for sure be back and to try something elseThank you again

This was unique! It's South Indian but not South Indian, West Indies but not West Indies, it's Caribbean but not Caribbean... but it was so good!All homemade, made with all the right ingredients and tastes are true to original dishes, but the chef has clearly put their personal touch on each dish.Heavy spices, flavourful and robust, each dish is prepared thoughtfully. We ordered samosas, mutton rolls, patties, madras curry, vindaloo curry, channa, I was impressed by each.I'll definitely crave things from this place in the future...

I moved to Port Hope recently and there are so many great spots to eat, but let me tell you ; I loved my dinner I had at U92. I am a vegetarian and I had the Chick Pea Roti. It was one of the best meals I've ever had period. It was piping hot, filling , and very fresh.

Pictured is the traditional jerk chicken. I also ordered veg samosas. The jerk chicken was very good as were the samosas and plantain included with the jerk chicken. However, the rice was bland and it had red kidney beans in it instead of peas. The description on the website said peas as did the woman on the phone who took my order. It was fine for me to have it with kidney beans but my friend is allergic and could not have any of the food we intended to share.There was also a price difference between what is listed on the website and what was charged at the cash register. The jerk chicken is listed as $15.99 but was charged at $17 and a three piece samosa is listed as $5.99 but was charged at $9. I understand with inflation the cost of raw ingredients has increased and business cannot always absorb the cost so naturally menu prices will go up….however, when prices go up the changes should be reflected on restaurants website. Otherwise it is misleading…….Pros: very good jerk chicken, vegetable samosas, and plantain.Cons: bland rice, variance of ingredients, variance of price, long (40 minute) wait time, no dine in or consistent delivery (also it’s $7 for in town Port Hope delivery)TIP: if you have allergies make sure they are known and confirm the price before placing your order, if that matters to you.Edit: I ordered a 3piece veg samosa but was charged for a 6piece veg samosa. To be honest when I opened the bag and saw 6 I thought they had given me extra because they are so small. I expected the usual large tetrahedral shaped samosas. As you can see in the photo they are smaller are triangular.If you’re passing through Port Hope and looking for a place to eat I recommend Olympus burger (directly beside U92). Check out their secrete menu listed on their website, you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Friday night feast! We ordered a couple of pounds of wings, the hummus appetizer as well as the curry chicken dinner for 2. Great portion sizes, this fed my family of 5 (including 2 teenage boys) leaving leftovers for lunch!All the food was delicious, friendly service. We will be back! Thank you

By far the best butter chicken I've ever had. The flavour was so layered and had so much depth, and the chicken portion was so generous, with big juicy pieces included throughout. My girlfriend also agreed her butter chicken roti was the best she has had.It's a nice little spot, and the man that cooked and served this food did an amazing job. Highly recommend visiting. I could go on and on, but once you try it the food will speak for itself. :)

U92 Spice House & Take Away
Very generous portions. So flavorful. Great customer service. Would absolutely be recommend this place.I had the butter chicken, which was so good and had a bit of a kick... But I loved it. My husband had the chicken and Beef Shawarma, which again was a nice sized portion and just super flavorful. Hands down one of the best places I've eaten in awhile.
