Working with Evan has been life changing for both Kane and I, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!It was getting to the point I was isolating Kane due to reactivity to dogs and strangers. He made a couple of poor choices of biting, as a way to try protect when he felt threatened and I couldn’t figure out why this started to happen.Overtime walking him became stressful for both of us, I would resort to secluded areas only. Cross the street, avoid people all together. Evan helped me understand Kane’s behaviour, how my actions were not helping lol and learn to better manage situations, make choices for Kane.How to set boundaries, manage my anxiety and navigate uneasy situations so he didn’t feel the need to be so protective.Now he’s becoming less anxious, enjoying social settings and most of all back to exploring/adventures off leash where we are both our happiest!It takes daily practice and commitment, you can’t expect someone else to do the work for you but after working with multiple trainers, Evan is by far the most Effective because he meets you where you are! Each session is based off your needs and you get to implement the skills being taught.Not required but adding group classes was icing on the cake for us, meeting others who can relate, know your dogs boundaries and learning to implement the tools in that setting definitely helped with confidence building.Thanks Evan, you truly have a gift!

Really enjoyed working with Evan. He has a way of making a challenging situation with your favourite dog feel easy. It takes a good trainer to teach a dog. It takes a great trainer to teach the owner :)

I can not recommend this training enough! When we first adopted our rescue dog Duke we were completely lost. He was scared, reactive, and we were so far in over our heads. While the rescue informed us Duke was cat tested, he was extremely reactive to our two cats. We called Evan and never looked back. Duke now coexists with both cats and is the best boy. Evan walked us through all the steps, and it was so helpful to know we could call on Evan if any new behaviors came up. Very proud to say Duke is Doggett trained and can place" anywhere."

Evan Doggett and Doggett Style Dog Training has been a positive and enjoyable journey.We enrolled our 2 month old Rottweiler in the puppy training program. This was the best decision me and my husband could have made. Charlie is now 7 1/2 months old and has graduated to group classes where he can be social and work on all he has learned.Evan gave us the tools, guidance, and knowledge we needed to train Charlie to be a confident, well behave, well rounded puppy. Evan is truly the best dog trainer. Prior to finding him we tried multiple trainers/classes and nothing seemed to work. We were always told to keep trying for a few more weeks. Evan worked with our dog based on him, not a one sized fits all approach, and if something wasn’t working, he gave a different option that did work!In a very short period of time, our dog has gone from terrified, barking, run from everyone/dog to a dog that goes to the dog park, wags his tail, AND listens. Bonus? You don’t get dropped when your sessions are over.

By far the best Dog training experience we have found and the results speak for themselves. We adopted a tough case rescue from Texas and we tried many different trainers with purely positive approach but unfortunately never got through to him. In only a few sessions Evan turned our fearful and reactive dog into a social off leash approachable dog who's now only major issue that we are still working on is socialization with humans thats been a bit more challenging for Zeus but the changes in only a 2 months are absolutely undeniable so we will never be able to express how grateful we will always be.

Working with Evan was a game changer. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and obviously loves what he does. Our DJ is a sweet goofy doodle with a typical doodle brain! We wanted DJ to have good recall so he could be off leash around our property. Having him be calm around other people and dogs was also important.Evan’s program is straightforward, laid back and the one on one time is priceless. We still have work to do but we have the tools and knowledge to keep making improvements. There’s also peace of mind knowing that we can call on Evan if we get stuck and need a little refresher.If you’re considering doing training with Evan, do it. It’s worth every penny!
