The Griz Bar is a decent on-hill ski bar, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is what you'd expect to find at a ski hill (nachos, burgers, etc.), and is fairly good. We recently ordered a plate of nachos, which was enough to ward off the hunger of the five guys that shared the tray.Great views of the mountains can be found from this bar, which also has plenty of light inside from the large west-facing windows.

Went here twice during our ski trip and had a great time! Service was friendly and prompt, burgers were great and they had Fernie beer on tap. Much less busy than the cafeteria downstairs at lunchtime!

I had been to this bar a few times in my life. The most recent visit on January 3rd 2019 was worth a review, and it all comes down to the food. This bar has such a cool style to it with long solid wood communal tables, booths and your typical bar seating. Open wood laminated beams and cool retro skies and ski posters give this place a great aprés ski bar feel!If only the food could have lived up to the rest of it.There are no French fries on the menu! What type of ski hill bar doesn’t have French fries!? Especially one that was “voted best aprés bar in Canada” (where ever that came from). Instead, they offer home made kettle chips. To tell you the truth, those don’t cut it for anyone that wants a hot french fry with gravy. Sure the kettle chip can be seen as trendy or creative. But what you lose is a ski hill staple dish that still has good margins. If you don’t want kettle chips a salad is a good alternative, right? But if I had only taken a picture of the salad, which was mixed greens with a scoop of black olives green peppers and a pinch of grated cheddar cheese and no dressing. My 5 year cousin could make a more appetizing salad. The burgers came with fast food style condiment packets...!? What!? How can anyone thing offering an $18 burger with NO french fries and a packages of ketchup, mustard, and mayo is going to impress anyone after a day on the slopes. The quality of the burger is also something to be desired. The patty and bun were nothing special and definitely not “best aprés bar quality”.Come on RCR just do better.

Friendly staff and cold beer. Came in after a day of skiing and took a seat by the window (great views of the mountain are available). Waitress promptly took my order and was really friendly giving suggestions for local beers. Ordered a poutine as well, which was a bit disappointing. Though, it's a food place right on the ski slope, probably shouldn't expect too much in terms of food quality. Fine if you're starving, but otherwise head into town for better stuff.

Terribly small menu, would not recommend for food. Some of the servers seemed cranky.Had enough beers on tap to find something you like. Service can be slow if busy.

Very slow service, waited almost an hour for nachos. The beer was cold at least, price was reasonable for a ski resort. But the wait for a plate of nachos was terrible. Most likely won’t be returning.

The service here was terrible. We waited for 10 minutes before a server approached our table. You can order at the bar and that is probably the better option. They should just give up the charade of table service and it likely would have left a better impression. They do not have menus which makes ordering difficult over the noise of the band (which was pretty good). The beer is overpriced and the selection is shameful: 6 or 7 taps of AB-InBev swill and a single token tap for the excellent local brewery. Don’t try to pretend that Goose Island and Mill Street are “craft”. It ain’t fooling anyone.

Came in at lunch to warm up and could get a burger and fries. Fries aren’t served until 2:30? What a joke! Plus $25 for previously frozen burger and a bag of chips! What is that? Oh and a glass of water comes from a camping water jug? They can serve beer but not fresh water? Um health inspector please!

Had a blast here several days on my Fernie trip. The sign says it was voted best Apres bar in Canada, and I believe it. Waitresses working at the bar were always cheerful. Local beers and snacks were perfect for recharging after a day on Fernie's challenging slopes and chutes.
