Danier Leather

They are now out of business. You missed a great clearance sale though.

I recently purchased a jacket online at Danier Leather. I decided to return the jacket at the Ajax location. I presented to the employee the email receipt from Danier and was immediately advised that they cannot accept an online receipt and it must be printed. I asked her what's the difference between a paper copy and the exact information that is on my phone. The response, it is our policy. I asked if the policy was written somewhere, did not receive a response.It was then discovered that I had gone past 14 days to receive a full refund (store credit only). The email from Danier also did not specify this. Most stores allow 30 days for a full refund, unless you're buying electronics from Best Buy! The manager confirmed this and offered me a store credit. I don't buy jackets or leather goods every month and also there's a question of how long the store will be there/change of ownership at Danier; which does not provide me comfort.- I purchase products online because I do not have time to go into stores, never mind running back home to print a receipt to get a refund/store credit for something that does not make sense (i.e. printing the same info on my phone that I had already presented)- Inflexible / non-progressive businesses do not stay in business in this day and age. I have never had a problem with online receipts at other major retailers.I am not certain if this is a reflection of the Ajax location's store policies or Danier's. As much as I want to support Canadian businesses, I find this level of service and inflexibility to be unacceptable especially for a public company. Good quality products, but I can no longer support the brand due to outdated policies and practices.

I like going to this locations as they always have jackets and accessories for on sale.

Danier quality products, clean store with decent prices.Staff is hit or miss. Some are friendly and helpful, others will only grudgingly speak with you.
