The Sapphire Hair Lounge

This salon has the best vibes! Sapphire has always been very welcoming & a safe space to get my hair done. I get the privilege of seeing Kallie and they are so kind, caring, professional & incredibly talented. The person who used to do my hair unfortunately passed away and was a dear friend of mine, so finding someone to do wonders to my mop of hair was something that was very hard for me. The first time I went to see Kallie was emotional but they were so understanding, gentle and amazing at explaining the process to me that I knew I was in great hands. I’ve been going to Kallie now since 2019 and I don’t know what I’d do without them! When I was blonde their work was gorgeous and now as we make our way through the colour wheel their knowledge and skill in beautiful vivid colour shines through! Also their scalp massages are to die for! Their work is incredible and they are so talented and wonderful as is the the rest of the staff! I cannot say enough good things about Sapphire!

The staff are so incredibly kind, thoughtful and are amazing at what they do! They create a relaxing good-time feel type of atmosphere. You can see how much they care about their clients! I have been coming here for 7 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Danae is a hair genius and very very talented at her craft as a hairdresser.

For those with curls I recommend seeing Katie. I have been hopping around to different hairdressers for the past ten years because I couldn't find anyone who could make my curls pop like a former hairdresser I had. Katie did it. If you've never had anyone slide cut your curls while dry(she washed my hair after the cut), you need to see what you're missing. She knows how to add layers and isn't afraid of making bold moves, she is also a lovely person.Definitely see Katie!

I had the absolute best time with Danae. She respected my boundaries and was really good with making sure I was okay. I let her do her own thing when she was colouring my hair and told her I wanted it to be a surprise. She was so careful and when it was done, I was speechless on how amazing it looked. I would definitely go over and over again. Even told me that I can bring my dog! Super excited as my service dog didn't have her vest yet and she was so wonderful about it all.Thank you very much!!

My appointment with Danae was great as usual! She's a great conversationalist and always makes you feel so comfortable. All the staff at Sapphire are super welcoming and friendly, I can't recommend this salon enough :)

I had my first appointment with Mel after being with the same stylist for 8 years. Mel is an absolutely amazing stylist and human. She specializes in vivids and will create the hair of your dreams. I let her have free rein to do whatever she wanted with my hair and it turned out fabulously. Highly recommend Mel!

Had my hair trimmed and styled by Kallie today. She did an incredible job! My trim was very thorough and my braid looks amazing! Couldn't be more pleased

Bri was fantastic! Very fun, very energetic. She did an amazing job on my hair. I walked in looking scruffy and left looking pretty damn cute thanks to her. I definitely recommend.Sapphire is the first hair lounge I've been to that I actually felt comfortable. Very friendly and talented employees.

I got a haircut with skin fade and a beard trim from Andrew and felt absolutely compelled to write this review. I have lived in Canada, the USA, and Australia and have travelled heaps and I reckon this was the best barbering experience I have ever had.Andrew goes above and beyond in his barbering service. Most importantly, he is highly skilled with clippers and his attention to detail is a step above. He made sure he understood exactly what I was looking for in the haircut/beard trim and communicated that back to me. It was my first time with Andrew and I found he is incredibly easy to talk (or not talk if you want!) to. Coffee, tea, or soda was offered, and at the end of the cut he used this massage machine for the shoulders/upper back that was a lovely little unexpected treat. If I resided in Winnipeg, I simply would not go to anyone else.The Sapphire Hair Lounge was easy to find with ample nearby paid and free parking. The building has a lovely aesthetic with a progressive atmosphere and everyone working there seemed wonderful.
