K9 Kind Dog Training and Behaviour Consulting

We are grateful for the training expertise and the clarity of training. Our puppy Sitka learned a lot in a few short weeks, making his and our lives more focused on how he thinks and how to consistently teach him how to be a great companion!

Our puppy, Lenny, a mini whoodle who is 3 months old, and we just finished the K9 Kind Dog Training Puppy Kindergarten and were thoroughly impressed. Lenny went from hiding under the bench for the first class to being a full participant in all of the puppy play times by class 6. We were able to implement a lot of the helpful training techniques at home to help socialize and have Lenny able to respond to simple commands. We had a contractor building us a patio during this time and Lenny learned, through gradual steps, not to react to the very loud saws and the comings and goings of wheelbarrows and people. We learned more than Lenny and have set up play dates with some of his puppy friends. We highly recommend this class!

Excellent business! Carrie is so helpful and understanding. She takes a strength based approach for pups and owners! Her training suggestions helped our dog very quickly once we learned what negative behaviors we were reinforcing. She helped us make important training fun to help reduce our pups anxiety. We have been working with Carrie since we first got our puppy. As first time dog owners her professional knowledge has been invaluable, not to mention that our dog adores her. We have had her in for one on one training at our home (the best type), group training at puppy class (great for mixing with other puppies), and the focused smaller group workshops (excellent learning environment). The trainers are very helpful in spotting my errors in training my pup. Lessons are very structured and well planned. Emails before class give us a heads up as to what we will learn this week and how it will unfold. Emails after each lesson provide additional tips and reminders on training at home and on walks, to reinforce what was learned. Training through rewards rather than by scolding or punishing is absolutely the way to go if you love your dog and want to make your life easier with your pooch. Thank you K9 Kind.

We have just started classes with them and have found them to be professional and knowledgeable. Truly appreciate their positive approach to training that produces results. Also due to some minor health challenges with our pup they have been flexible with us and helped us find a schedule that worked. Highly recommend.

I brought my 10 year old rescue dog to K9 Kind without much information about her past or knowledge of dog training. My dog had some dog reactivity and was showing signs of fear and anxiety. The team at K9 Kind taught me to address the emotional state of my dog and help to “fill up her cup” I have learned so much and I am happy to report that the anxiety is gone and reactivity is much better! If I see she is getting fearful or uncomfortable I now know I can address her emotional well being first and the behaviour modification will soon follow. I am very grateful for their help.

Echo loved her puppy kindergarten classes SO MUCH! It was such a great experience for us, really positive and fun to get to see her interact with her friends. Personalized attention and training tips were so useful and helped me to get her on track to being well trained, and for me to be able to stop bad habits before they developed. As a first time dog owner it gave me and my partner some valiable insight and tools for understanding her a little better. I will definitely be signing her up for another set of classes!

Eleven years ago I got my best friend, Brodie, a fearful rescue dog. Never having had a dog before, I heard about Carrie as being excellent at teaching both dogs and their humans so I enrolled in a beginner class. This evolved into some extra private work. Carrie was able to teach me, my husband and Brodie about having a good respectful relationship and we have had the most amazing 11 1/2 years because of it.
