Stayed at Sportsmans club early July /2023. Fishing for springs was great. Was self guided so bottom fishing was challenging but salmon more than made up for it. Cannot say enough good things about staff and food. Guides were excellent as far as service and tips. Food services and staff hosts were excellent. Highly recommend

The scenery is great, the dock crew, food service and accommodation staff were also excellent. The comradely with other guest was super and the quality of the lodging was more than adequate. The fishing was poor and part of that is just not being there at the right time. The biggest problem is the poor quality of the lodge management, the fishing gear and the guides and fish processing people (who are the same). The manager was unfocused and a bit chaotic. The fishing gear was inappropriate, they provide poorly maintained manual down riggers that are difficult to use. They break frequently and are slow to retrieve from depths running into hundreds of feet. The guides/fish processing staff were freezing cleaned fish in single bags so you will have to find some way of dividing it into single portions and repackaging it back home.

Great place. Delicious food. Humpbacks breaching 100 feet away, almost everyday. Fishing was fantastic. Trip of a lifetime.

This place is amazing! Probably some of the best fishing out there. I've caught tons of salmon, big a$$ halibut, seen orcas, whales, eagles...this is the trip of a lifetime and I've been here 4-5 times. Totally worth every penny. The crew are great and your host Simon is great! If you want to land some big fish and have a great time this is the place for you.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, food was remarkable, lodging was excellent. Simon went out of his way to help with a special request. Calm waters and tons of fish. If your going salmon fishing this is the place to go.

Fishing and weather were bad but largely outside of the lodge's control. However, we felt the service from the lodge owner was quite poor and we left feeling ripped off. We paid for a 4-day trip and got a 2-day trip, and didn't feel like the lodge made any effort to make up for the lost time. There are far too many other better options to ever choose this place, in my opinion. I would not go back if it was free. The other people we spoke with also told us they would not go back.I have fished in 25 US states and 20 foreign countries and am an enthusiastic promoter of operations that provide a positive experience. It really pains me to write a negative review. I have never given a 1 or 2 star rating until now. However, I do feel it is important to share my experience so that others can avoid being in the same situation that we were in.
