Chartwell Renaissance Retirement Residence

I spent two wonderful years working at Chartwell Renaissance, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, I loved every minute of it! The management team are a happy, caring and fun bunch to spend your days with, the staff is welcoming and friendly, you also get to participate in the fun events with the residents! Theres delicious food in the dining room, you can order menu items daily! I still keep in contact with them, that’s how much of a great experience it was, I miss them!!

I originally visited the Chartwell Renaissance Retirement Residence over a year ago to see if this was the place for me when the timing was right. Well I am extremely happy to say the timing was right and I moved into my new home December 1, 2020. I love everything about the Renaissance, the other residents, the staff, and the managers. I was home, this was a decision that I made and chose to move here into independent living so that I would never have to be a burden on my family. Being that I only recently retired I am still young enough to make my own decisions but also donate my time to my fellow residents. I enjoy all the activities that are available to the residents even in Covid style. I volunteer or help out wherever I may be needed. I love the fact that I do not have to make meals for one and I have company and community around whenever needed, but I also have my beautiful suite to enjoy when I need my space. The managers are all very courteous, patient, and willing to go the extra mile. The front reception staff, the dining room staff and the housekeeping staff are willing to go the extra mile to be friendly, kind, and helpful. I have been blessed to find such a beautiful home. My only sadness is that I can hardly wait for the day that they unlock the grad piano and have a pianist make some beautiful music. We are lucky to have a resident that plays a keyboard and another resident that sings like and angel. I hope whoever reads this review will know that this my be a future home for you too. We helped move our aunt into Chartwell Renaissance last year and the experience ever since has been five-star. The environment itself has the feeling of being on a cruise ship. Greeted warmly at the door every time, food is wonderful and having amazing staff 24 hours a day brings us peace of mind. The community feel is consistently positive and the daily activities and monthly outings are an extra bonus to keep busy day-to-day. The one bedroom with balcony is cozy and clean. The transition for my aunt downsizing has been an easy and enjoyable experience.

We have found all the services offered to be of the highest quality. The staff keep a close watch on folks, their coming and going, making sure they are able to come for meals in the dining room - if they cannot make it they are offered room service.They have what they call the “Country Store” where you can pick small items up when you don’t want to go to the local store, an exercise room, theatre, library, games room, pool table and other numerous activities.The food is excellent as well as having many choices. There is also the option of an a la crate menu for both lunch and dinner.All of the staff here at Chartwell Renaissance are very pleasant and courteous.There is a beautiful courtyard outside where you can sit and enjoy the nice weather and where at times entertainers will perform.They have a Chartwell Renaissance bus which offers trips to the bank and shopping malls. At times they will take residents on sight seeing trips.We could not be happier thanks to Chartwell Renaissance caregiving.

Working at Chartwell Renaissance was such a pleasure. The staff and management are extremely welcoming and helpful. The residents will always hold a special place in my heart; wonderful, kind seniors who are always ready for some fun! The Renaissance is a beautiful property with so much love and happiness inside!

I can't think of anywhere else I would rather be than at Chartwell Renaissance. Sometimes I feel I should have come here years ago. The staff, the meals and the general ambiance couldn't be better. The first time I walked through the front door into that spacious welcoming lobby I knew this was the place for me. The past three years have confirmed this first impression.The serving staff are friendly, welcoming and incredibly patient. For many of us, the servers are the only contact we have with the outside world; they bring us comfort, warmth, humour and the occasional hug. I don't think these lovely ladies know how valuable they are. The menus are varied, creative and nourishing with options to suit everyone's taste. It is no easy thing catering to 150 people.My two bedroom suite is a lot smaller than my house, but I find it is more than adequate for my needs.We don't even have to do the cleaning because someone does it for us.The courtyard is usually full of flowers in season and provides a secluded area for gossip, recreation and simply walking. There is always something going on, from Bingo! to musical entertainments and outings to popular places around Surrey and Langley.There is one monthly fee, so no more worries about home maintenance, hydro and hearing bills. I have never felt so cherished and spoiled as here at the Chartwell Renaissance. This is now my home.!

I’ve been here with Chartwell for 3 amazing years. They have so much ground space and a great atmosphere ! I often see many people walking around and enjoying the sun. Most Wednesdays it’s concert time in the back courtyard! Pretty cool. Management seems to be on top of things quickly and everyone is friendly. Big mall and quick eats are a ten minute walk or 3 min drive . Very convenient !! Will definitely recommend this place.

Having just retired from the Renaissance located at 6676 - 203rd Street in Langley, I wanted to provide a brief review.From the warm and friendly staff that greets you upon entry to the grand staircase that leads you to the rest of the building and its Elizabethan theme, it was a real pleasure to work in such a pleasant environment. I also enjoyed meeting and getting to know all the residence at the Renaissance. Lastly I'd like to point out that the kitchen at the Renaissance is the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen. It's decked out with wall to wall stainless steel which gets a deep cleaning from floor to ceiling every day. The Renaissance is an independent seniors residence that I would recommend to any of my family.

A beautiful building, wonderful residents and amazing staff. The Renaissance is a delightful blend of homey comfort and upscale clubhouse. I love it there.

Chartwell Renaissance is one of the most friendly and welcoming home to residents, family and guests. The staff is outstanding and very courteous. Residents are constantly raving about how good their meals are and how well they are treated. There is always something to keep them busy. Bingo, bus trips, etc. Rest assured your loved one will be well taken care of. It's home away from home!
