Unprofessional service from this moving company. I chose Metropolitan for moving stuff from a condo to a house. But they sub-contracted the move to Shaan movers. I have never heard of them. Initially I thought there is a breach in data security. Here are the list of issues I went through with Shaan movers.1. The move was booked for 8 am. The day before the move Shaan movers called and said that they will arrive at 2 pm. I said this is unacceptable. He hung up and called me after 2 hrs saying they can start at 11 am. Still unacceptable because the elevator was booked for 9 am. After 2 hrs he called me and confirmed they can start at 8. They arrived at 8:15 am the next day, empty handed.2. Two men came in empty handed which means no carton boxes, packaging material, bubble wrap, tape, knife, blanket, floor runners, number tags etc...I have requested Metropolitan to bring 10 boxes for packaging. But they failed to bring any of these.3. They used the garbage bags that we had to wrap all the stuff.4. Furnitures were damaged which they didn't take accountability for because according to them things could damage in transit.5. They refused to put together the furniture which they dismantled6. They walked inside the new house with shoes, no floor runners available7. We had a different crew of 2 to deliver the stuff out of which one person was too old to move the stuff. I felt pity on him.I used AMJ Campbell for the move from Central Canada to Western Canada. The move was smooth and less stressful. Professional movers who came in uniform. Once you move with AMJ you will not choose other movers. Reasonable price as well. I'd rate 4/5 for AMJ.AMJ Campbell moving company did not have an open schedule when I needed. So I went with Metropolitan. I will never ever use Metropolitan in my life. Thumps down.

DON'T GO NEAR THIS ONE !!We trusted this company to do a city-to-city move and we both booked full day off work + were charged a full deposit on booking. They never showed up and DID NOT even call to verify why or try to apologize or re-book our move. Our entire week was messed up because of their in-ability to book movers and have them show up at a correct address, date and time. NOW they are refusing deposit refund. TOTAL CON ARTISTS. DON'T TRUST THESE CROOKS!!

Metropolitan Movers helped my family moved our furniture and belongings to storage temporarily while we renovated our home. I was really pleased with their work. They were very reliable, hardworking and friendly. Their rates are excellent and affordable. The movers were really strong men and could handle very heavy furniture. They were also very careful with our belongings and followed instructions well. I would be happy to recommend them to other people.

The team showed up on time , were extremely professional and efficient . Moved us from a three bedroom and storage unit on same day as closing. They even help packed wardrobe boxes (included in moving expenses). Cannot recommenced then enough. Definitely would use them in the future.

The move started very well. However, when I had to step away and my wife stayed alone with them stuff went downhill.The movers took a 15 minute break that we never got back. They also slowed down considerably, and did barely anything even though my wife was pressuring them to move faster. Given that they charge hourly i was really disappointed with the service.Also watch out for the times they write in your timesheet, they wrote down they arrived 7 minutes earlier.

My platoon of carriers were veritably professional and gracious. They arrived beforehand and worked snappily while also taking care to safeguard my things throughout the move. I nearly went with a different moving company that that quoted me$ 300- 500 further because I allowed Great Moving would nail me with a bunch of retired costs. rather I took a chance on the lower quotation and was surprised to find it was exactly what you had quoted! Thank you for running a professional and honest service. I'll recommend this moving company to all of my musketeers.

Metropolitan Movers Calgary AB | Moving Company team was very experienced and professional. We had a large number of heavy and bulky items to move, and all pieces were delivered to the new destination without any issues. No fragile items were broken. They took care of everything! Thanks, guys!
