We got such an amazing piece of reclaimed Doug fir from these guys. It's the showpiece of our store and always a topic of conversation. Great price and quality, absolutely the best in town.

From the moment we connected with Van Urban to support us in creating a custom dining table, customer service was top notch, personable and always available. Reliable followup was especially important because Van Urban gave us the option to finish our dining table ourselves after they had dried, planed and laminated the wood. They were helpful and committed to support us by answering our many questions around finishing once we had got the table home. In hind sight with future projects we do with Van Timber (and I am sure we will) I plan to pay them to complete the finishing work. As much as our table looks great it took us a great amount of time to finish and I believe Van Urban's attention to finishing detail would have created a more professional and finished look in a timely manner. We were seeking a standing up table to work from home during the pandemic. Looking at the options online we were not very excited about the available tabletops. Then we thought that having a live edge slab instead of the standard table tops would be the coolest option by far. The challenge was finding someone willing to undertake a pilot project until we met Eric. From day one he understood the potential and decided to help us. We visited Vancouver Urban Timberworks in he showed us their stock of live edge slabs. They had amazing pieces of maple, oak, fir and even imported stuff. We spent a great time there discussing the options and talking to the crew. They were all very nice and the whole process was as smooth as it can get. Instead of using a courier Eric offered to deliver the table already assembled. After a couple of weeks later Lenny showed up with the masterpiece he worked on. I am impressed with Vancouver Urban Timberworks commitment and capacity to take customer satisfaction to the next level. These guys are unique and we strongly recommend them.

I was in the market for an 8’ x 34” solid wood slab, to be used as an office table and was referred to Eric by one of my contractors.Finding his location in Squamish was very easy and I was highly impressed by the number of options he offered. Also, Eric and his team are incredibly knowledgeable about their products which I felt, actually provided a great deal of value for me when making my decision.I highly recommend speaking with Eric when you’re in the market for a specialty wood item.

Awesome service, creative hard working team with excellent quality control. Sawn faces are flawless on their rough cut production. Having a combination of primary breakdown flexibility, with dry kilns and access to fine grain softwoods make this a one stop shop. Their wide, want slabs are excellent particularly their hardwoods. Very stable kd products. Highly recommended for their innovative approach and again their personal, friendly service.

Quality products and service. I'm a furniture maker from Squamish and I have used VUT's lumber for loads of building projects. Would highly recommend.
