Fred is fantastic. Such a great guy. He’s done a great job with several custom pieces. Fast turn around. Very knowledgeable. I will definitely keep going to him with my jewelry and gold needs.

Fred is hidden in a small plaza - his workshop looks like a time warp from the Edwardian era; he takes your jewelry and doesn't give a receipt .... yet he is the most honest craftsmen there is. My daughter took in a ring for an estimate - she had a lose stone .... she opened her ring only to discover that there was no stone - she thought about the estimate. A week later she accepts the estimate and Fred said that he found her stone on the carpet the next day. Honest beyond belief. I have sent rings from a .10 carats to 1.5 carats - there is no problem with his honesty and his workmanship is exceptional. His workmanship in gold is exceptional and he will rebuild or recreate from scratch your original jewelry. Full disclosure -m this is my first review of any shop/craftsman but Fred deserves the shot out for his downhome/local service ..... he is a hidden gem (pardon the pun)

I had work done on jewellery repairing fine chain and cleaning a ring which I thought had a broken stone but was advised that only cleaning was necessary. Pricing was excellent and fair workmanship excellent. When I found that I had not brought my wallet Fred let me leave with the repaired jewellery to bring him his money on the next business day. I returned the same day. He is a trusting and honest man!

The chain of my dainty, very meaningful necklace had broken. Fred did an absolutely seamless job at repairing it, despite the chain links being extremely small – its impossible to tell where the repair was made. On top of it all, Fred himself is very personable and very kind. He's our new go-to jeweller. Thank you!

Fred did an incredible job with my Grandmothers ring shrinking it and he even cleaned it for me on his own accord. I am so happy highly recommend him

Got a necklace restringed and another one clasp needed to be put correctly. Fred quoted me one price which I accepted, picked up the necklaces today and the price was $10 more. When asked why more he gave me some excuses which were so stupid that it wasn't worth my time to argue over it. I paid and he didn't even give me the receipt.If he needed extra $10 why didn't he just ask. I gladly would have given him extra money since he obviously needs it. Like this I now feel he ripped me off and will never go back there again.Someone also gave him 1* review, should've taken it into consideration before giving Fred my business.

Fred was amazing to work with! He repurposed an old gold ring and made me a completely new family ring out of it. He was great to work with, he sketched out his ideas based on what I was saying I wanted and then made the piece we agreed on. I would pop in and he always made time to update me. I'm very happy with the quality and workmanship of my new ring and will be back for other jewellery needs.
