This place dishes out old school Hong Kong food. As someone of HK origin, I have to come check this place out but this tiny restaurant always has a long line outside!Is it gourmet? Not exactly but it does a great job capturing and recreating the essential HK tastes and experience. The food is good and plentiful but quite salty. Will be happy to come back.

This place was recommended as one of the best restaurants in Chinatown by several guides.The way must be very out of date because everything we ordered was bad or just blah. The hot and sour soup was orange- never seen that before, and it was just bad. All I tasted was heat and sweetness. Defiantly the worst hot and sour soup I’ve ever had.The garlic chicken was also very well cooked but again, just heat- no flavor behind it.My son ordered bbq pork fried rice and it was just sup par fried rice. I’ve gotten much better at the local suburban restaurant I go to back home.

I went here first time was 20 years back when I was in college. I came back to Canada last year and still loving it. I go there almost everytime I go downtown. My go to menu will be the shrimp with lobster sauce on rice ( watch out for the spicy sign on the menu) I also like the dumpling soup, deep fried chicken wings, Cantonese fried noodle... what else? My hubby's favorite would be the beef and beancurd on rice.

Another Cash Only Chinese restaurant. It does not make any sense!!! Anyways, The bean curd and the stuffed green pepper were our favourites. Delish! The fried rice was pretty bland though, no flavour! The vermicelli and vegetables was just Ok, the sauce was pretty bland too, no flavour either. The spring rolls were tasty but they were drenched in oil.

The mushroom & vegetables was pretty salty so I would avoid. The Charsiew was fantastic - not usually a fan of it coated in sauce but this was done brilliantly.

Have always loved this spot, been coming here for years and they never disappoint ! We got the swatow special soup, shrimp wonton noodle soup, and the honey glazed ribs. Everything came out quickly and tasted delicious ! My favourite spot in chinatown !
