Smiling Dental Ancaster

Smiling Dental (Ancaster) is absolutely amazing and has completely changed my perception on what going to the dentist should feel like. I visited Smiling Dental because a filling from my previous dentist had popped out. My first visit was a very pleasant experience while they conducted a very detailed patient intake examination. I usually have issues due to my gag reflex getting images done but my dental hygienist, Kathleen, was very patient, took her time, and was very friendly. For the first time ever I was able to get several images done with no problems at all. I had the pleasure of meeting multiple staff members that day and everyone was cheerful and a pleasure to be with. A follow-up appointment today to get cavities filled is where my entire view on having to go to the dentist changed. The experience I had at under the incredible care of Dr. Schneider and her dental assistant Stephanie was by far the best experience I have ever had getting dental work done. Dr. Schneider was incredibly nice, thorough, efficient, communicative, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I was very impressed with how quick and comfortable everything was, unlike any dental experience I have had in the past. There is even a TV on the ceiling to watch Netflix, and with how impressive Dr. Schneider was, I was able to just zone out and felt really relaxed. Even now, just over an hour after my visit, I feel amazing. Normally in the past I would have at least some discomfort from all the poking and prodding (sore gums or lips) and at the very least I would still be overwhelming numb for a few hours (perhaps my last dentist used too much anesthetic), but I have none of that this time. It's clear Dr. Schneider has skills and patient care far beyond what I am used to (maybe she's a wizard)!

I found smiling dental to be a very friendly and welcoming place however I did have issues. I had plans to get the Invisalign so I always seen Dr. Schneider for work before we moved forward with it. one time it’s was during Christmas break and I had tooth pains so I contacted the office and I was sent straight to a specialist which did not make sense because they just assumed it had to do with my prior root canal. The specialists availability was super limited and I would be waiting 2 months for her to be able to see me so she advised me to contact smiling dental to see if they could look at it to determine if the 2 month wait for a appointment would even be appropriate. I booked another appointment to see if Dr. Schneider could actually see any problems to refer me to a specialist if needed but she didn’t even take a look and just talked to me about it which was upsetting because I took the time out of my day to come there to have a conversation that could have been done on the phone. This also delayed the work that needed to be done on my teeth for the Invisalign. We were also supposed to get a letter from dr. Schneider to our funding source which we were told was sent in October but we followed up and it was never sent. Because of all of this I am no longer edible for funding and cannot go through with the Invisalign. I’m quite disappointed with my experiences.

I can easily say that my experience here was the best dental experience I've ever had. Dr. Mattina is the most kind and compassionate dentist I have met. Him and his assistant put me at such ease by consistently checking in with me to see if I was ok. I would without a doubt reccomend anyone to come here so they can know what it's like to experience a truly positive dental experience. Thank you to Dr. Mattina and all his staff for looking after me with the utmost care!

Such a pleasant experience with my first procedure at Smiling Dental. I get very anxious in a Dentist's chair. Dr. Mattina and Marcel were very relaxed and calm throughout the procedure, repeatedly taking the time to make sure I was comfortable. Certainly the most pleasant visit to a Dentist I have ever had. The staff at Smiling Dental are always so kind, accommodating, knowledgeable and caring! They definitely make you feel like they genuinely care about you and your health and wellbeing. They are always on schedule for your appointments and apologize profusely if they keep you waiting for 5 mins. I’m so glad we made the switch!

My son is somewhat anxious in a dental environment. The staff put my Son at ease and were able to complete his dental needs over 2 visits. The personal communication I received regarding his visits were above and beyond and I knew he was in great hands! Thank you Smiling Dental Team!

Just transferred to smiling Dental after 25 years with former dentist.There staff are Awesome and all caring and make you feel at home . Thanks for making us feel like family. I would highly recommend either location Ancaster or Dundas are the two I have been to and had awesome service.Thanks to your expertise and caring staff .

For those terrified of the dentist... for years I've had anxiety and nightmares about going to the dentist. It has been a great fear since I was a child and has resulted in me neglecting my dental care for years. It was so comforting dealing with compassionate people, from the receptionists to Dr. Meagan. I highly recommend anyone who has fears or is years behind in dental work to contact them!

Just switched over to Smiling Dental and should have done it sooner. Dr. Jacob Mattina is an excellent dentist and awesome support team, will be telling family and friends to do the same.

As a new patient at Smiling Dental Ancaster, I recently had my first check up then my first cleaning appt. Both my apptments were on time and I was very impressed with the staff. They are so friendly, thorough and very professional.
