Took my knife in for sharpening and got it back with some pretty nasty scars on it … not to be dramatic but it’s a gorgeous damascus steel blade, quite expensive, and the damage is permanent.The gentlemen in the store (who wasn’t the one who did the damage) did his best to buff it out — but it’s clearly not repairable.I wouldn’t recommend bringing higher end knives here for any work / sharpening.

Braxton was incredibly knowledgeable about all the products we talked about and he was kind. He answered all of my questions and was able to give me indepth information based on his personal experience. I will be back in the future, and I will reccomend everyone to go see him or the other staff for questions about knives kitchen wear, and shaving kits. Thanks for all your help.

My Wife and I were shopping for a knife set, my mother in law was with us. The salesperson walked right past my wife and I and went directly to my mother in law to ask her if she needed help. I suppose there's something about the way my wife and I look that caused the salesperson to ignore us. The prejudice is strong in this store.

Friendly and positive staff.Each employ I have dealt with has always been polite and informative. Nobody pretends to know more then they do and always appear to be learning more if needed. So in short: HONEST ... something that is getting harder to find.

I've shopped here a number of times in the past for kitchenware and shaving supplies, and decided to drop in to see what they had for blade maintenance. Braxton was a huge help to me today, showing me options for sharpening my tools, both as a service they offer, and equipment I can purchase to do it myself. He also showed me the kinds of products they offer for different use cases. Overall a great experience! I intend to buy my own equipment, as well as bringing in my kitchen set to get them back to prime beforeI start caribg for them myself.

Customer service will go to the lengths to assist in making you comfortable with your purchase of product or service. I previously had an experience where my ZT was resharpened incorrectly not once but twice. As such I was in the “do not go there for resharpening” camp. However, I can see now that HoK have stepped back and realized that this aspect of the business was lacking severely and are taking the right steps to move forward with that as a quality service. My issues with HoK has reached a point where I am happy. :)
