In summary a developmentally disabled person can accomplish in 1 month what this agency failed to do over 9 months.This agency placed my special needs child at great risk while undermining me and my relationship with her after reaching out for their help.We are waiting to address our concerns with the Executive Director as the Supervisor indicated that was not possible.This agency is responsible for delaying much needed supports through Developmental Services Ontario and when asked the status at the time my questions went ignored.Not even as much as a medic alert bracelet was acquired after having a seizure on the bus.Mental Health Agencies should ensure their staff are not calling family members names like crazy and and ridiculing them to their clients.Please be cautious when dealing with this support network. They will separate you from your child, place them at greater risk and you will inherit the same problems to solve on your own at a later date.Your loved one may expect to be assaulted and told it was their fault. They will undermine developmental supports in favour of trips wasted in Tim Hortons. They will support their staff and lay blame on the vulnerable. They will not recognize when they are doing more harm than good.Rather than separating the child from their family members, they should try to work with them. In just a short period of time we’ve managed to accomplish what we could not do on our own a year ago, but certainly not with the help of this agency. We are try to heal from it’s damage.
