Yesterday we closed a chapter in our lives. A chapter that has brought, an appreciation to the little things in life. I initially began the process of my claim in 2017, and at the time, I began the process with William Elkin. Bill retired, and one day I received a call from Roelf, letting me know that he would now be overseeing my case as we moved forward and scheduled a meet and greet. I thought to myself “oh man!!! This process is already stressful enough; now I have a new lawyer; GREAT!” I was racked with nerves and went in to meet Roelf and one of his associates. At that time, we had to make a decision as to whether or not to proceed with filing my claim. I was definitely torn; starting this process officially comes with inherent risk. Together, we went through my file, and discussed both the positives and the down side of proceeding. In the end, we proceeded. My claim, just over 6 years later; has finally been successfully settled. (courts closing due to Covid definitely made this process go longer than it probably would have.)
