Great decor, staff and food. Kids loved the food too. A ton of vegetarian options and quick service. Spicy Feta and Greek street fries were the best!

The food was great and delicious. Really enjoyed the appetizers mussels and calamari. Needed more bread to dip into the tomatoe base sauce it was that good.We had two plates that exchanged for rice as a side. However the rice was hard which was disappointing. Other than that everything was great.

Belly dancing show is on Thursday night. Nice atmosphere and some of delicious food.I recommend pasta and lamb.

Super fun place with delicious food. We went on a night with the belly dancer show and had a ball dancing with her and smashed a plate or two. The food alone is enough to recommend, the energy of the place just puts it over the top

We pretty much ate the whole menu - groups of 7 (although only took 2 photos). Our group enjoyed pretty much everything. The calamari, the lamb riblets are a must try. The only 2 things we didn't like were the soup and the rice in the Greek bowl.

Balkan came highly recommended by Calgarian locals, so we decided to try it out with some friends who were visiting Calgary/Banff, with one of them being Greek. She rated Balkan as some of the best and most authentic Greek food she's had in a while.I found Balkan overpriced with small portions - I mean, what else do you expect in Banff? The saganaki we ordered was a disappointingly small size for the steep price of $21. I ordered the grilled Greek chicken and it had a great texture on the outside, but the inside was dry and overcooked.The other members of our group enjoyed their dishes, which included lemon and herb lamb chops, arni psito, and seafood meze. However, we all agreed that the restaurant's prices were high for what you get. While we wouldn't dine at Balkan again, it's worth trying for the entertainment and ambiance if you have the budget to spare!
