A unique bakery in kitchener where you can variety of bagels and crossaint with coffee. I like its historical ambiance. They only accept cash. You calculate your own bill and throw it into a jar.

Not for any other reason other than the man that works there is RUDE. I've gone in twice and he has been rude both times. I came today at 245 and he was upset by my asking for butter for a bread I had to put in a toaster and butter with hard butter. He was telling people at 255 he was done. Ok. Maybe he has other responsibilities but no need to be rude. Lost me as a customer

I tried the turkey melt and it was delicious. Totally recommend. My only critique would be to for the store to bake more croissants. Those are also heavenly, but every time I come in they are sold out. I would imagine that 1 missed sale is worth 5+ unsold croissants, and after I asked for one, someone else came into the store and was also turned away

Absolutely delicious bagels, croissants, date squares, brownies, butter tarts, donuts, sandwiches, and coffee. If you have exact change, it's much faster to grab a coffee here than to go through the drive thru at a fast food restaurant - and the coffee's much tastier and fair trade to boot

High quality baked goods and completely self-serve with no nonsense, pressure to tip or anything like that. Just walk in, collect a bundle of very fairly priced treats and breads, put your money in the payment box, and go. If you need change just ask. Good bakers doing honest work focused on quality food. This is the ideal bakery/cafe.

A very nice cafe with yummy treats! Delicious tarts and brownies. It's cash only, which I did not know, but they insisted on taking my treats home and paying it for it the next time I came by. I would really recommend this cafe!

I wanted to read the reviews before i posted, clearly the product they are selling is good and they have a unique serve yourself and pay yourself system. However, there is no clear signage, you will not be greeted when you arrive, even if you are trying to have a nice outing with your wife and 6 month old child. The man who runs the store swore under his breath because the coffee cannister ran out and I did not know where to put it and he had to come and exchange it.Maybe if you are a regular you get treated better, but i suggest skipping coming here entirely and go to a bakery that is more welcoming of customers. The negativity emanating from the male owner is too toxic and is likely the reason why most do not come back.
