Delicious turkey products! The sandwiches and soups are amazing. Deli, eat in or out and a large grocery offering! Great parking, friendly staff. Nice, family wonder spot! :)

JD Farms Specialty Turkey
Prior to this year, we have always ordered our fresh Christmas turkeys from Costco and the turkeys have been very moist and tender. This year in early December, when Costco couldn't give us assurance that they would have sufficient stock of fresh birds, we decided to place an order with Westlynn Meats.We picked the fresh 13# bird supplied by JD Farms up on Dec. 22 and cooked it Xmas day.We noticed right away in unwrapping the turkey that part of one wing, my wife's favourite part, was missing. To us this suggested this was a utility bird, not the grade A bird we had paid a very high price for.We cooked the stuffed bird at 350 for about 4 hours until it was nicely browned, to an internal temperature of about 170, and let it stand for 1/2 hour.Using my regular carving knife which I always sharpen prior to carving, the meat in the breast was very difficult to cut evenly coming off in strings, not nice carved slices. The meat was tough and the breast meat had a greyish appearance. It was a most disappointing experience. We will not purchase a turkey supplied by JD Farms again.

Have been going every Saturday for lunch for the last 5 years. Sadly last Saturday will be last visit.Used to be a very friendly atmosphere but staff especially the supervisor runs hot and cold.I was shocked by the price increases. I found them to be quite drastic and when I asked if there was a reason for such increases was told everyone else has raised their prices so we did too.Last week 2 sandwiches cost 19 dollars, yesterday I paid 27 dollars for the same 2 sandwiches.I cannot imagine a family of 4 paying 108 dollars for 4 sandwiches. I am a business owner and understand the need for increasing prices but maybe a dollar an item would be more in keeping with what you are getting.Best of luck

JD Farms Specialty Turkey
Went there for my first time Friday with my family and the staff is absolutely amazing. Turkey is in the oven now and we got all the sides from there too which was an unexpected surprise! I'm finding some of the recent reviews very entitled. Asking a place to stay open late to accommodate you, expecting a huge selection of turkey after I'm sure what was a crazy busy week... I personally think you all are doing a wonderful job and hope there are many others giving you the positive feedback you deserve!

Amazing quantity and service, the staff are super helpful and happy to share information. I wouldn't consider buying a turkey anywhere else. No matter where you're coming from in the lower mainland make the trip, it's well worth it.

I ordered a small fresh turkey for pick up. The process was very easy and organized staff were super friendly, and the store had great COVID measures in place. The turkey itself turned out really well, very different from the usual ones, a lot more leaner, and the skin was thin and crispy after it was done, didn't have a thick layer of fat underneath. It reminded me of the turkey that we would get at my grandma's when she used to raise her own.

Friendly staff at this Bistro with my dining options being, everything Turkey. Healthy options for eating in or take home a cooked meal from the take-out. Remember the Bistro side closes 30 minutes prior to the Store. Great Selections from fresh & freezer on the store side. Eat in or out-door on the patio. I didn't forget about the Cranberries. Thanks for lunch in your busy spot.....

Very nice people. Did forget to bag one of my gravy sauces, and forgot to provide the 100 dollar plus receipt. However, they have delicious semi-frozen turkeys and all the fixings. Would recommend coming if you are too lazy to actually make stuffing and a rub!Edit: they are actually very helpful, as you can see by the reply.
