I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Carol Black and her kind service. As grandparents of Gracie, we were present with her when she made her transition in our home. Her family was away, and the decision was made this past week - it was time for her to leave her 'fur body'. Dr. Black went out of her way to make this happen - her kindness, compassion and caring transformed this difficult time - into one of just loving our beloved girl into her next life. Thank you Dr. Black - we are furever grateful..

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Black. We had to say goodbye to our beloved boxer Ivan this past Wednesday. It was the toughest decision full of tears and heartache.Dr. Black was so kind and compassionate from the moment of the first phone call. Every detail had already been arranged by Dr. Black before the appointment so we didn’t need to worry about anything except being there for our boy during the end. Dr. Black saw us the very next day from the first phone call. Each step was explained to us and Dr. Black showed the utmost respect towards me, my spouse and Ivan. She was so kind during the whole process. This was the first time we had to say goodbye too soon to a pet and we were devastated. Dr. Black helped alleviate some stress during a horrible time. She even left a small gift before leaving. That small gesture meant a lot to us.We’re forever grateful to Dr. Black and how she handled our situation with infinite grace, compassion, and kindness. Thank you so much ❤️

Carol & Samantha, thank you so much for making such a hard day a little brighter with your compassion, friendliness and patience. We are so thankful there are lovely people like yourselves to come to our home on short notice and help us through a tough time. Thanks again, Rocky’s Mom & Dad.

Carol is one of the most amazing people I have met in my life. Our dog was not doing good and declining fast, I was calling around to find someone to come to our home so we did not have to move him. I phoned every home euithinization in the area and was getting no answers. Carol saw my missed call and phoned me back within 30 minutes. I couldn't find my words and she knew exactly what I needed. We had a time booked and she stayed in contact with me through out the day. She was supportive and compassionate and arranged everything so all we needed to do was spend our last minutes with our boy knowing it was all taken care of.After everything was done and he was loaded to be cremated, she stayed in the house with me and gave me the most compassionate hug I've ever had from a stranger, she gifted us a candle and inside was a note. I didn't read it until today, but on this note was our boys name. Who knew a simple note from a stranger would give me the biggest smile!Thank you Carol! ♥️

We had to say goodbye to our sweet little Schatzie who blessed our lives for 20 years. We called Furever Friends and Dr. Black came to the house the same day. Dr. Black was so compassionate, caring and gentle, in helping us part with our special family member and camping companion. Dr. Black came to our home to help our sweet boy Rigby pass. My boyfriend and Rigby had been together for over 14 years and were absolute best friends. Rigby always hated the vet, so we decided at home would be most comfortable for him. I really don’t know how someone who deals with such profound sadness constantly for their job maintains the ability to stay so kind, compassionate, and patient. She explained every step to us at a level we could understand. She brought our sweet boy a special goodbye treat, offered us a few private minutes before our final goodbye, and was such a loving, calming presence through the process that I’m sure Rigby felt that he had 3 of his people surrounding him as he crossed the rainbow bridge. That alone is a tough experience - add in my two year old dog that did not understand the situation and only wanted the attention and was so curious about the supplies and that makes it even more tough. Dr. Black was so patient with her, let her say hi and investigate her supplies and gave her treats which helped her settle prior to starting the process. It’s something that seems so little but made such a difference.We never want to have to go through this again, but alas, we have two more animals so we have a high chance of being back in this place. I have no doubt in my mind that we will ask Dr. Black to come back when it’s time and I will forever be recommending her to anyone requiring these services. Feelings aside, it was such a smooth, peaceful process and really we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful goodbye to our boy.Thank you from the bottom of our (currently very broken) hearts.

Today we had to say goodbye to our beloved Pixel, a little 10lb feisty Maltese that we were lucky enough to have in our lives for 13 years.Carol, and her assistant Sam, could not have made the process any better! We are so grateful to have been able to say goodbye to our little girl in the comfort of our home. She passed so peacefully in my wife's arms, and we would not have wanted it any other way. Dr. Black's energy was so calming and comforting.She made a very difficult time much easier to handle.As my wife said, Carol, you can rest your head at night knowing that you are doing good in the world.We are so thankful that everything about this difficult experience went as smoothly as it could possibly have gone and we definitely feel that Dr. Carol Black was the reason.Highly recommend!

There are no words to describe the wonderful energy and compassion we got from Carol and her tech Samantha.This was my first euthanasia experience and my first dog. I was always worried about that time" coming for my girl Pixel...so much so that a few years after we got her I worked part time at a vet clinic to get more comfortable with the end of life stage.So when Carol came to our home I was extremely anxious and just wanted the best for my girl because she had always been there for me...my little shadow. Carol put me at ease immediately. She allowed me to be in my space and do what I needed. She answered all my questions

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved 18 year old Japanese Bobtail, Sloan. Dr. Carol was a very empathetic, compassionate professional. Catered to our felines needs at that important time. Gentle and soft spoken, I am so very glad and thankful for the excellent care and attention of Dr. Carol.

Dr. Carol Black and her assistant came to my home Thursday March 27th to euthanize my thirteen year old shihtzu mix Toby. I chose to use this veterinarian because of all the at home euthanasia services I contacted, only this one asked why I had decided it was time to let my fur baby pass.They were very professional in respecting how my family had chosen to memorialize Toby and didn't try to upsell.The day of the appointment Dr. Black let me know they were running ten minutes behind instead of leaving us to wonder. The entire process was handled respectfully and my family was given the time we needed to mourn and process what was happening. We felt heard and sympathized with as we shared memories. We were given time alone with the body once Toby had passed on.They brought a basket, blanket, and pillow for Toby's body to rest in while transported for cremation. We were able to send his bed and favourite toy with him. We were shown pictures of where his ashes would be spread. In the emotions of everything we forgot to remove his collar and tags. Dr. Carol drive back across the city to deliver them to us.I am extremely grateful for respect my dear Toby and my were given.
