Left truck there for an alternator issue, did not call me back, so I stopped by to find out $800 of unauthorized work was performed without authorization. He also would not provide me an invoice or the parts he replaced. In spite of him admitting to committing these legal violations in writing, he did not accept responsibility for resolving the issue, leaving no alternative but small claims court. All of this is thoroughly documented in an email exchange where he demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, blatant disregard for provincial standards which clearly state that mechanics must provide a written estimate, must obtain authorization prior to undertaking work, must provide any replaced parts and must provide a written invoice.
