Really solid experience at Soif! We tried a few dishes but our favourites were the Brussels sprouts, duck, and the hazelnut dessert. My husband enjoyed his wine pairing and my drink was good as well. The service is fairly quick and friendly and the atmosphere is great. We will come back. The prices are also reasonable for the plate size.

Exceptional experience, exceptional service, exceptional food and wine! The restaurant itself is cosy and comfortable and the staff are super attentive and friendly. The pairings were so good! Each sip was a surprise and the Quebec wines were our favourites. We very much enjoyed the chats with the staff about their choices for us. Very much recommended.

Interesting menu and large wine selection.Food menu is most fascinating (wild mushroom ragout and bison tartare were excellent, even the tapenade and mousse-butter) but bread was disappointing , wish they'd offer some french baguette!Wine flights: 2 options (white or red flights) of 3 wines of 2 oz for $22. Wish more flights were offered... or make your own with 2 oz up to $15-18.Desserts: chocolate caramel ants fleur de sel with hazelnuts was great ($9).Trendy bar area, okay service.

Incroyable! Magnifique! Two words that would describe this gastronomical experience.Do you like wine? Small plates? Interested in trying something different? If so, this is a must do!Friends invited me to their favourite place and it didn’t disappoint.From the flight of wine, to the bison tartare, the roasted quail, vegetable tempura, tuna and tomato tarts - it was all delicious.The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive! All the new ‘standard protocols’ are in place and yet, you still feel like you are transported to some magical culinary place.Enjoy your visit! Oops, I almost forgot to mention the corn beignets! Wow!

My visit to Soif Bar à Vin was nothing short of delightful. As wine novices, my friend and I were treated with remarkable patience by the waiter, who offered us thoughtful recommendations and samples. Despite being amongst wine connoisseurs, we felt truly welcomed and at ease.The tucked-away apron at the back is a gem, offering a tranquil summer escape from the city's hustle. A wonderful place for wine lovers and beginners alike. Highly recommended for its exceptional service and serene ambiance.

I found Soif while doing a search in Eater for restaurants in the area. We were looking for a place to have Valentines Day dinner while in Ottawa for two days. The review was amazing and our experience was even better. The staff was highly attentive and well-knowledgeable on the courses, ingredients, cooking style and wine. We had the prix fixe menu for the evening with premium wine pairings and I’m glad that we chose that. The seating and environment is intimate and I’d highly recommend it for a special occasion or anytime you’d like a great dining experience.

Cute little spot close to portage 5 min from Ottawa.Their food all comes in small shareable dishes. The food was pretty good but this is more of a wine bar with a huge selection of wines and drinks. That is for sure the highlight of coming here.Service was pretty good as well and overall would repeat coming back.
