15 Park Bistro

We recently visited 15 Park Bistro on Father’s Day – June 19th and our experience was terrible from start to finish as we had high hopes of enjoying a pleasant dining experience.Upon entering the restaurant, we requested to be seated outside but told there was no space and we were seating in the bar area. There was space outside but we didn’t think twice to ask again and sat where we were assigned – tucked away in a corner beside the bar.I ordered coffee and asked for a refill and didn’t get a refill until 45min after asking for one – I ended up asking the bar for a refill since our server did not come back to check in on us. We were not brought any water refills nor were we asked how our food was once it finally arrived - which we waited over an hour for.Once our food finally arrived, the kids food had a hair in it and we were missing one meal. There was no apology issued for the hair or for the missed meal. The missing meal arrived once we were getting ready to leave and the server did not remove the meal from the bill – we did not order takeout food as it was supposed to be dine in service.Once the bill finally arrived, not only did it have the food with the hair on the bill, but it also had the meal that we did not receive. I was discussing this with the server and she snatched the bill out of my had and walked away – while I was still talking to her. I dine in a lot of restaurants and I have never had this happen to me nor have I experienced this sort of behaviour from a server. In fact, this is the first review I have ever provided for a restaurant.During the entire time we were there, staff overheard us talking from the bar but not once did any of them come over to speak with us. They could clearly see and hear us complaining and getting agitated. As we were leaving, one of the servers would not even look at us and lifted his head higher with his nose in the air as he spoke to us– almost trying to indicate that he was better than us…This whole experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and I feel this was a case of racism and it should be shared with others. Racism has no place in our society, let alone in a dining establishment that should strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons. It is profoundly disappointing that the staff of Park Bistro have failed to address such behaviour as it is their responsibility to train their staff to treat all customers equally, regardless of their race of ethnicity. It would be interesting to see what Park Bistro’s policies are around this.I believe it is important for the public to be aware of incidents like this. By sharing my experience, I hope to encourage the management team to take proactive steps towards a more inclusive environment and promote diversity, inclusion and respect for all customers.****Edited to include a response to David***Yes, we were compensated for the delay and issues we had with the food but that does not compensate for the experience that we had in your establishment.The fact that you are implying monetary compensation would somehow make up for the experience that we had at your restaurant shows your lack of understanding of the magnitude of this issue.I think it is great that you employee a diverse workforce however they all must have been off that day since we did not see one person of colour working on the floor in your establishment.Also, we did make reservations prior to coming to your restaurant.

Delicious food. Coming from the city I've found it hard to find good restaurants out here. Its either horribly overpriced or the food is awful.This place has something for every price point, great cocktails, an awesome BC wine list and I've never had a bad meal here. This is my go-to spot.

Breakfast was great. Would have been 4 stars on its own.Dinner was a different story. Very slow service, then when we finally got dinner my steak was overcooked. Manager apologized and got another order fired but it resulted in my wife and I eating at different times. As this was our fancy" dinner out it was a huge disappointment. Ultimately steak was good and my wife enjoyed the halibut but the service and messed up order couldn't salvaged the meal."

We had an excellent experience at this bistro. We started with the crab and salmon cakes, then for entrees sablefish and beef short rib. Our server was fantastic and the food and drink were just as good. Would go back for sure.

Wow!!! We decided to check out the little resort bistro for a later supper and this place was a very, very pleasant surprise compared to what we'd seen in town. Also we weren't expecting the place to be quite so packed on a Monday but were happily accommodated!Our food and drink was 5 star, for certain. Couldn't resist even long enough to take pictures. Our server and all the staff were spot on, however the highlight of the night was watching that bartender move! You're a wizard Jordan! And thank you for the breakfast recommendations!

Dine in here on new years eve! The atmosphere was great. Very high end bar with good choices of wine. We had a fairly new bartender/server, she did great doing her job. Food is very delicious and it looks very delectable. Will definitely recommend this place and will come back here in the future.

We had a lovely time here for dinner this week. Our server Brittany was so pleasant and cheerful and the sommelier Rod was friendly and went out of his way to get us something special. Reservations on a Friday are recommended as we had to wait an hour to get in (we put our names down and went to grab a pint at the brewery down the block). It was worth the wait because once we got in we had the best seat on the heated patio with a beautiful lake and mountain view. Once it got a bit chillier, Rod came out and offered everyone blankets as well. Steaks, appies, and cocktails were all great. The crispy mashed potatoes on the side were a particular highlight. Thanks to everyone at 15 Park!

Very nice restaurant next to the Osoyoos lake. It was a bit busy due to some guests staying 4+ hours, which bumped up several bookings but management seemed to handle that gracefully.Food is delicious: lobster mac and cheese and lobster nachos were extremely tasty. Local beer, though from a can, was really nice. I would recommend to book around 7pm to allow for some padding.

We really enjoyed the service and quality of the food specially the tenderloin steak that was one of the best! Highly recommended to try it. Our waitress Ema also made the experience way better.Thank you all people in the kitchen

Perfect setting with fantastic tasting, well priced, good portioned food. We had the focaccia which was perfectly baked and fluffy, the lobster bisque which was rich and creamy without being heavy, and the lettuce wraps and tostadas which were light and packed with flavour and depth. Our table had a great view of the lake and mountains on the patio. Our server Kayla was absolutely wonderful and very easy to talk to. We will be back if we are ever in Osoyoos again.
