I have no staff complaints, they were hardworking and competent. However, this system of ‘hold my spot’ is not right. Myself and many other seniors were forced to wait two hours yesterday while younger people came and went because they had registered with the ‘hold my spot’. Did it occur to Life Labs that this shortcut might be very difficult for seniors to access? It’s unfair and discriminatory at best! Not impressed.

I drop-in for a standing order, and I tell them the minute I walk-in. Unfortunately my standing order is expired. So instead of taking literally 2 seconds for them to have a look the order and tell me that right away, they let me wait half hour first. Best day-off in my life.

I do not blame the staff on this issue, as it isn’t their fault but like all locations, the staffing problems needs to be fixed. I booked on the app, showed up ten minutes prior to my time and was told they were closed and would not let me have my blood drawn. The app says I am required to show up ten minutes prior but the nurse told me I was required at least a half hour prior (fix the app, please).Lifelabs needs to hire more staff and pay them better wages (maybes that’s why they have issues with retention).

Negative reviewers need to relax. Healthcare is going through tough times with burnout and shortages and frontline workers are working as hard as they can. These folks are amazing. I came in at 6am and didn't realize there were 8-9 folks lining in front of me. I'm only one of two with a paper requisition, rest looked like they have standing orders or have pre-booked their appointments. So it's a mixed bag as a walk-in plus I was in a time crunch for a physio appointment and then work.I was in and out in about 35 minutes which is not too bad considering they only had two lab techs at 06:30 and then two more starting at 7. From the looks of it, there isn't a receptionist clerk and that all techs are playing double duty of reception. There were plenty of patients who came after me but most were pleasant and understanding of the situation.Being one of the earliest LifeLab facilities to open, the public should be thankful; speaking as an essential worker who has very limited time for medical appointments and diagnostic testing; the other locations open too late to work around with my busy schedule.

I would give this 0 stars if I absolutely could, DO NOT GO HERE! The staff are EXTREMELY unprofessional. My friend and I have separately gone here, we both had the worst experiences. PLEASE DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE SEEKING ANY HELP, THE OTHER LIFELABS WILL PROVIDE MUCH BETTER SERVICE AND QUALITY!

The company came up with a great app that allows customers to hold a spot, so they don't have to wait 2+ hours for a simple blood draw that takes 2 minutes, but then the branches decided to go by appointment only or walk-in only, actively forcing people to have to go back to waiting onsite for 2+ hours.

I use the online app to book my spot. I went there and waited for an hour and still didn't get it in. I asked for the 3rd time why I wasn't being seen even though there was only 5 minutes left on my timer from the online app when I got there. It had been an hour and they said there's still 10 people in front of me. I saw at least 3 other people complain about this same issue. What they did is they put everybody that was still in the waiting room in front of everybody that had made a spot online. One person was in the Parking lot and there time went from 5 minutes to / 2 hours. This is what they do. Useless waste of my time! Go anywhere else you'll have better service.

This is a convenient lifelab that opens at 6:30 am in the morning so one can come early, get in the walk-in line and have the tests done in 45-60 minutes. But if you came later then expect to wait 2 hours. Point is that they open at 6:30 am and walk-in is available, so no need to wait weeks for appointments in other lifelbs. A guy who had appointment here later in the day came early and got in the walk-in queue and got the test done earlier than his appointment. That’s funny. I came here first time at 6:25 am and got my tests done in 45 minutes. Second time I came at 7:45 am and it’s 9:24 am and still 30-45 minutes to go. That’s slow work. I see all are working but line is not moving. Need more worker and faster efficient work?The only benefit is that you can come here without appointment and get your work done before your office/work time and not lose your wage.

If I could give it 0 I would. I came here because the one on Yates was temporarily closed for a few hours. The save my spot is so inaccurate. It said 35 min and I waited double that. The lab techs/front desk were so rude it was kinda unbelievable. Avoid this place at all costs if you can.

just had my blood work done I was there at 0625 and there were already 7 people but these women were so efficient I didn't wait more than 16 min thank you and keep up the good work
