Pronto Courier and Errand service
This app is extremely misleading! It’s got a clean and functional design - making it so easy to order a courier.....if only the service actually worked! I placed an order first thing in the morning for a courier - specifying the time I needed the item collected and delivered by. The order went through and I waited for the next update to say the courier was assigned. By early afternoon there was no update, so I called a contact number listed on the site. A lady answered sounding confused and then transferred me to someone on the support team. I explained the order HAD to be delivered by the specified time, as it was an office building and no one would be there to receive the package after hours. I was assured by the support staff that this would be escalated and someone would be dispatched ASAP. An hour or two later a courier was assigned but there was still no update that the item had been collected. 10 minutes before the delivery cut off time, I called again to double check that the courier would be arriving. The same support staff then said that the courier was 10 minutes away - from COLLECTING the item!! I was extremely frustrated and upset that after an entire day and multiple follow ups - they completely failed to understand the concept of delivery within a time frame. I was forced to cancel the order on the spot and ask for a refund, but I was left without my package (which i’d urgently needed) and with no communication from the company. Why offer a service with time options, if you are going to ignore them and not even bother to communicate with your customer if you can’t fulfill the order? After the experience I contacted their support but never heard anything back! So unprofessional, I would avoid them at all costs.

Not very fast at all, as the name suggests. I booked my courier and never heard from anyone, so I had to cancel. I wasted about 10 minutes inputting all me details, delivery specifics, credit card number, for nothing. Maybe this works if you need something delivered a week away or something? But if you are in a situation as I was where you need something delivered pronto"

Doesn't actually run errands. Pronto is merely a courier you can book on your phone. Until my phone conversation w them after they placed my order on hold, I learned the Ops Manager had no idea that their website (on multiple pages in several places) contained information regarding Pronto's sole differentiator of offering to purchase items on your behalf (at a 5% premium, to a set authorized amount), nor did he have any idea that their App - THE ONLY WAY TO BOOK - still contained fields for this service. I googled, found Pronto, downloaded, spent time inputting order details (item to be purchased, authorized amount) had glitches with the delivery address as it insisted all houses on my side of the street were the same number...and then my order was on hold and in-app I was told to call the office. The receptionist said they don't purchase anything. I was put on hold. The Ops Manager Guy was surprised to hear that across several platforms they were still saying they purchased for their customers - yet THEY STOPPED PURCHASING A MONTH AGO...and that he goes by what IT tells him!!! OMG - please delete my payment info and never ever have access to my financial information again if this is how you run your business. Beyond alarming and so telling of how they must be doing. What's worse: being sloppy or clueless?!I'll continue using one of the hundreds of other options in the city, thank you.
