U-Haul Moving & Storage of Bedford West

Recently visited this location to have a conflict resolved and the woman at the front desk was not very helpful or kind. Laughed on the phone at my conflict in front of me and my friend. Very unprofessional.

Rudest uhaul employee I’ve dealt with in my life, acted like I was an inconvenience when there wasn’t even any other customers, also accused me of damaging a vehicle when it was clearly there before hand, I would stick to the Burnside location if you had to rent from uhaul.

Perfect location, clean, well priced and great staff

We rented a storage unit from them on short notice since there was nowhere in the area who had climate-controlled units available. We loved that they had a spot for reusable boxes and other items that people might want to take. Their units are all 8' tall, even if you get a small 5'x5', so make sure you can stack your stuff high. Uhaul also doesn't prorate your rent so, even though we only used ours for like a week, we had to pay for a whole month. We wanted to have something shipped there, as it was advertised on the building map they gave me, however when I called about it the person didn't even know it was a service they provided. They kept having to run back and forth between the phone and someone who actually knew about the service. They ended up telling me that someone would call me the next day to provide me with more information and they never did.

Nancy and Michelle are the best service representatives that we have ever encountered at a moving company. Their patience and advice made our difficult move tolerable. Thank you both!

Very helpful staff members. The Store manager is very helpful and always ready with advice and suggestions if needed to. She helped picking the right boxes for the belonging and preparing qoutes for truck rental.I definitely recommend this Uhaul store.

I was not impressed I went and booked a storage which I was told it would be a 10 by 25 and when I got there on Saturday it was a 10 by 15 which would not be able to hold my furniture. I had to go somewhere else as it was the worst experience that I have had in a long time

I highly do not recommend using this location. Management is unkind and charged us for every possible little thing that we should NOT have been charged for. We returned our truck after hours and spent about 10 minutes filling out the online after-hours return form. However, Nancy the manager insinuated that we are liars and that we didn't fill out this online form so she went ahead and charged us for fuel top up (truck was fueled up before we returned), fuel service fee, cleaning fee (truck was swept/cleaned before returning), late fee, and literally every single charge she could charge us. When I called and explained that we DID fill the online after hours form (and refueled/cleaned the truck) she continued to argue with me even though I could tell her step by step what questions were on the form, what pictures we had to take etc, etc. So, unless I have some sort of unrealized telepathic capabilities, or am some sort of corporate spy, how else would I know step by step what this form asked? Finally, to top it all off, the store went ahead and charged my credit card on file without authorization. I was sent a bill (for completely foolish trumped-up charges) and then the store took it upon themselves to decide how and when I would pay for this bill by putting it through on my credit card about a week later. So, unless you enjoy being called a liar, argued with, and having your money stolen, do yourself a favour and choose literally any other location. Horrible 'service.'

Manager needs some customer service skills. We’ve been with them for a month and it’s been okay I guess, until today when the manager called me about a couch I put in the community box for others to have items unwanted. She called me saying it looks awful and we need to get it out of there. It’s a lovely couch with a rip in one seat, nothing crazy and she told me it’s unappealing, not reusable and needs to be moved right away or they will charge us? It’s a great couch with one rip and she made it seem like I put literal garbage there. Not impressed with her attitude and looking for a new storage unit. It’s a storage unit not the Barrington Hotel… very annoyed.

Nothing against this location in particular,, but I'm sure I'm not the only who feels as though U-Haul needs to get with the times and update their payments processing procedure.. it's 2021, I shouldn't need to physically present a credit card to get a rental. Nor should I need to be the name on the card used. Nor should I be charged more on the deposit than on my rental total... Just a few pet peeves as a renter. I'm certain the address on Google when I made this trip was wrong also..
