Wonderful acoustics. Friendly staff. Classic old theatre decor. Have enjoyed this venue for s recent Jonathan Richman concert, sing along Sound of Music, guest speakers, and movies. Always a great place.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the inside. We used the outside for grad photos as it is such a cool building. Parking was easy to find on side streets.

Nestled in the heart of our charming city, the Roxy Theater is a delightful gem that exudes a unique charm and nostalgic ambiance. Stepping inside feels like stepping into a bygone era, where the art of cinema was celebrated with fervor and elegance. From its old-fashioned marquee to the classic box office, the Roxy Theater transports visitors to a simpler time, reminding us of the enduring magic of the silver screen.Upon entering, you are greeted by the warm and welcoming staff, who seem to have a genuine passion for film and a desire to ensure that your experience is nothing short of exceptional. The cozy lobby, adorned with vintage movie posters and memorabilia, adds to the overall charm of the place. It's a wonderful space to relax before the show, savoring the anticipation of the cinematic journey about to unfold. One of the Roxy Theater's most endearing features is its intimate auditorium. The red velvet curtains draw back to reveal a quaint space that makes you feel like you're in your own personal screening room. The seating is comfortable and offers an unobstructed view of the screen, allowing you to lose yourself in the film without any distractions. It's a respite from the impersonal and overcrowded multiplexes that dominate the modern cinema landscape. The programming at the Roxy Theater is a testament to the love of film. It embraces both the classics and independent releases, providing a diverse selection that caters to a variety of tastes. Whether you're a fan of timeless masterpieces or seeking out hidden cinematic gems, the Roxy Theater is sure to have something that piques your interest. Additionally, their themed nights and special events add an extra layer of excitement and community engagement.

The Roxy Theatre is such a unique theatre with amazing decor in the main theatre and lobby. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing and the staff are attentive and kind. Prices are reasonable for admission and for snacks. They did use a tad too much butter on the popcorn that it leaked out the bottom of the bag and the soda was very very sweet. Overall a great little theatre with tons of character. Definitely worth the trip to watch a classic or recent movie.

This is a great old Theatre. I have been to 2 premiere s here and have met people in both movies. The ambiance is killer. If you want to do something a little different. This is a great option. Seen BROTHERHOOD" here. Cool places to eat within walking distance before your movie."

A great local theater! Good ticket prices and terrific popcorn. Discount Monday tickets are $6.35 for all seats and all ages and everyday discounts for Seniors and 17 and under age groups. They play a range of award winning movies and old favorites with a continually changing play list you can view on their website or the marquee bill board out front. The chairs are updated and have armrest cupholders but the old character and architectural art of the old theater still remains! Sound and projector quality are also good. There is street parking but they also have a small dedicated parking lot, half a block west down 20th street with access from Avenue D south.

The main theater is huge, and they show a wonderful variety of mainstream and independent films. The smaller screens make for a unique and intimate experience. This theater is an absolute GIFT, and I'm so grateful to have access to it. A recent highlight was the Home Alone and Home Alone 2 marathon that they hosted for 3 days over the holidays. My kids loved it (but I think I loved it more!)

What a beautiful space. Apparently it was built during the Great Depression and has avoided the wrecking ball. The seating is comfortable and well spaced, acoustics were great. An absolute gem in the heart of the city.

The most charming motion picture theatre experience to be had in Saskatoon.Staff are kind and the popcorn is excellent.Tonight we saw The Princess Bride in the main hall. A movie so many of us grew up with, but I'd never seen on the silver screen until todayI hope the retro flicks continue, I'll definitely be back!

LOVE going to this theater. Prices are super low and the experience is always endearing. Going to this theater weighs less on the soul than going to Cineplex downtown. They usually play the better, low key movies of the year. If you ever have a chance to attend a viewing of 'The Room' here do yourself a favour and be there. WITH SPOONS.
