Animal Care: Aligned Animal Chiropractic & Communication with Dr. Angela Martin-King

Dr. Angela has taken care of several of my cats. With both of them, there were fantastic results. Kasey had a bad hip and loose bowels. One adjustment stopped both problems. My other old girl, Honey moved so much smoother after her adjustment. As I have had 3 very senior cats in the last few years, having an adjustment seems to really, really improve the quality of their lives.

Dr. Angela has been treating my animals as long as she's been in practice. First with my dog Chica, who at 15 suffered badly from stiffness and neck pain. With chiropractic treatments she remained mobile and agile into her 17th year!And now for the last 4 years Iris is also a client. She's worked as a demo dog at events and is always so happy after her visits because she knows she will be feeling amazing after. You should see the celebratory zoomies after!!Dr. Angela is amazing abd she's been able to help me pinpoint issues before they become chronic or debilitating to my dogs abd that means the world to me. I’ve always been a huge advocate of human chiropractic care. So it only made sense to have Dr Ang take care of our pets as well.The amazing power of chiropractic care however became even more important when our puppy Boomer suffered an accident that left him partially paralyzed.We initially took him to an emergency vet to ensure nothing was broken. They insisted he would never walk again and be incontinent without surgery ($35,000 low estimate).I knew chiropractic could be the answer. And it was. With one adjustment we noticed almost instant improvement. We allowed his spine time to rest after that initial adjustment and within days he was able to partially walk, urinate and deficate.Boomer lived an extra 6 years because of chiropractic care!!!

This doctor is a genius, not only for my horses, but also my dogs. She approaches their care from all angles, whether chiro, laser or mindfulness. She has helped my highly competitive and successful Hunter jumpers to achieve incredible results here in Canada and internationally. As for my beloved fur kids I can not say enough about how she has helped each and everyone one of them. After my beloved Tunda (Alaskan Malamute) was driven over, she helped with his rehab and then lifetime care. He had twelve fractures and was put back together at Guelph with plates and screws. They thought he would never walk. Let me tell you he went on to walk run and live his life in comfort and joy as a very active farm dog and our heart dog until the ripe age of 15. Dr Angela is a gift to any animal. An essential member of my equine competition team and the most amazing gift to my fur babies. Thank you Dr Ange for all you do

Angela is absolutely wonderful with my horses. I have used her for multiple horses, for multiple reasons whether it be making a severely laminitic horse comfortable again to some maintenance for riding horses. I knew Angela was amazing when my laminitic horse actually wanted to walk after being worked on by her. I can’t say enough good things about Angela and her work. It’s always a great day when Angela comes by!

My German Shepherd/Border Collie was unable to sit or lay down properly for a long time. She couldn't jump and when she ran she would only run with three legs. The vet wanted to operate on her leg but I opted to take her to Dr. Angela. Dr. Angela determined it was an old back injury, after a few visits and of course daily exercises advised by Dr. Angela, my dog was like a puppy again. She can sit and lay down and put all her weight on all her legs again like a dog should. I highly recommend Dr. Angela!

Angela is wonderful she treats my dog winkles. Winkles is very reactive and touch reactive, she takes her time and makes a plan that keeps her and winkle safe. When it is too much for winkle we stop treatment and then we move on to the next time. I know that going in to the treatments that sometimes it may be less then normal depending on what he can handle. Ang makes sure it is safe for her and my dog and does not continue if it is dangerous for her or my dog! Very grateful to have ang for my dog winkles and her eye and very good animal behaviour techniques. We always know that his health and treatments are always what he can handle while keeping it safe for all.

Angela has been caring for my horses and dogs for over 10yrs. She is very compassionate about her clients needs and goes above and beyond to make sure they are looked after and she also goes over everything with you and how to help with recovery (in rehab cases) in between visits.I usually have horses coming in for rehab, and my horses are athletes that require to be fit and ready to show. She treats each horse according to their needs and her and Shawn are very professional in handling any of my animals. She always puts the animals first and will adjust schedules to fit in our very busy show season.

I knew something was wrong with my horse when he refused to turn left. It took having a farrier do an assessment to notice that his shoulder was out and he needed to see a chiropractor! Angela was amazing from the get go. She is very knowledgeable and explains every step as she assesses and then begins to treat your horse. While she understands and can explain the deep science, she’s great at bringing it down and explaining it compared to humans so you get a better understanding of what the issues are. My horse was so different after his first adjustment, having had so many little problems I never would have even guessed at (like perpetually having a headache his entire life in part due to compensation of a blind spot in one eye), that I cried when I saw the freedom with which he cantered away after being turned out.Angela has been integral to my horse being able to continue in work instead of retiring due to his poor confirmation, having given stretches to help teach him to lift where he never has and exercises to work on proper movement. She’s quite gentle and truly listens to your horse, never overly aggressive or rough if they’re a bit sensitive or nervous. Dr Ange has been helping us with our dogs for the past 7 years! We originally saw her with our boy Kuma, who was 2 1/2 years at the time, because we thought the rough housing he and his dog sister had been doing had caused damage to his neck/spine. Although that ended up not totally being the case for Kuma (he had other medical issues) she helped him to be more comfortable and have a better quality of live for the remainder of his short life until it was time to help him move on! Since then we have adopted 2 other dogs and all 3 see her on a regular basis to help keep them moving well and to deal with each of their different issues (Athena has had surgery for both her lack legs for torn CCL’s just to name one issue). We are so blessed to have Dr Ange and Shawn in our lives. Highly recommend!!
