Really bad and sad experience. Really bad customer services. I bought a Kombucha Barrel that is nice. When I bought it, I chose to be delivered by Express Post from CAnada Post because They are good. Boch Art choose CanPar. 10 days after, I look at the Tracking number, and it says that The 300$ barrel has been delivered WITHOUT a signature... When I contact Bochart, Their Answer, is : It has been delivered, we will contact CanPar to have a proof of delivery... Soo lucky, CanPar sucks SOOO much, that I finally got the Barrel deliver 3 days after... But the answer from Bochart, was just : We SOOO don't care about customer services.... We delivered with cheapest possible service

Save yourself a trip and DO NOT go here. Was our first and last visit. Purchased what they say high quality French Oak barrels only to have a leaky mess. Barrels leaked all over on day one. Called and quickly received not our problem and tried to lash out it was us not storing or treating it right. After 3 decades of using barrels never experienced this MESS. We tried to least compromise to return the others still in their package with no we can’t take it back and no response later. The worst quality, the worst customer service and will take your money and run. Thousands of dollars lost.

These barrels are as impressive in person as they are on the web site. Having worked with wood all my life I recognize craftsmanship. These barrels have been made to perfection. Easy to use preparation instructions. Looking forward to aged mead. (honey wine, Viking style)I went on the website on sat, communicated back and forth with the manager, was impressed with his answers, placed my order right away.My barrel arrived Tuesday morning right to my house in the country.Very excited. I am sure to buy more in the future.

Purchased three Oak barrels from them. The Bochart Inc shipped my barrels extremely quickly and the craftsmanship has impressed me. Will definitely purchase any future barrels from them. Kudos to the staff that made this such a wonderful experience.

I custom ordered a pair of the prancing pony barrels (lord of the rings) to display in my man cave. I provided an image of how I wanted the barrels to looks and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was extremely pleased with how they turned out. Already have my next idea for my next order. Thank you so much for your fast response time to my many many questions. And flexible pick up times. I had a fantastic experience designing, ordering, receiving and enjoying a custom engraved barrel for aging wine from Bochart. The website has a live agent that was extremely helpful in answering questions and after the order connected with me by text to confirm details about my order and helped me optimize my engraved image.Bochart is priced fairly, right around the same price tag as you may find on Amazon or other places, however the quality of the product and service is phenomenal.Thank you again. I bought my first barrel from Bochart two years ago. The quality of the barrels is excellent, and their service too. I bought 3 more barrels after the first one, and they are all beautifully made and never had any leaks. I use these barrels to age my brandy and my wine. If you need a barrel, buy from Bochart, period!

I purchased a 5 gallon white oak barrel from Bochart. After following the exhaustive directions supplied with the barrel it still leaked profusely. Unusable. Customer service was not a hell but because they kept saying they were not receiving posts and pics in our communications

I now have a beautiful oak Kombucha barrel from Bochart Inc. It looks beautiful, comes with easy instructions. The customer service is amazing, helpful and friendly. I had a small problem with the spigot, they sent a replacement immediately. Very happy with my keg!!

So, here's a funny story. Before leaving the review listed below, I decided to contact BochArt to try to correct the matter.I called the number listed on their site to no answer. Next I tried their Chat function, again on their site. While there someone called me, but I didn't recognize the name Serge Gondar and ignored it. I asked the Operator chatting with me on the site if it had been their call, but the said they had no access to a phone. When I looked up the call and found that the number attached to the name was the same as BochArt I called back.The person who picked up then told me no one had called me, that it was all a scam. I went back to the Chat and mentioned this and was told that it was them, that I kept calling them.Let's be clear, I called once got no answer, was called back and then when I returned the call was then lied to and also lied to by apparently the same person by Chat.Not a trustworthy business.And now below the original review about their unfortunate product.I ordered two 1L barrels and received 2L barrels instead. Given the difference in how the barrels age and the fact that twice the amount of ingredients are required it isn't a small mistake.The stoppers and spigot also fit very poorly and seem to be intended for either a larger barrel or at least one with larger openings.Also when I cleaned them I found the manufacturer had been very lazy, leaving a large amount of wood chips inside the barrel and the whole thing was covered in saw dust, inside and out.As a further amendment; after suffering through trying to use these barrels, since BochArt had left me high and dry, I have lost over 60% of the barrels contents due to the poor fittings and coopering of the barrels. A waste of time, materials and money. Deeply aggravating.
