no stars would be more accurate. I've been waiting for a determination. Now I'm told a determination was made 2 months ago and the case closed; not necessarily a denial. I've been calling Bangor (my local) for days. One day I waited 55 min only to then be disconnected by them. Wed they close at noon, today I'm on my 3rd call, waiting 32minutes on hold so far this time. Had I done my job like they do theirs I'd not have had a job for 25years. They wonder why ppl get rude- i feel like screaming! Doesn't anyone care?

I was worried because you hear all the horrible stories people have but I am NOT one of those people. I spoke with a male there (can't recall his name) but what a pleasure. He was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped me with some questions I didn't think he would be willing to answer. For once the Government HAS done something right by hiring such a great guy, just wish I could remember his name so he could get the credit for this review. Thank you to whoever you are, thank you

If I could choose no stars I would. Never had such a rude experiance simply to change my address today with them. Worker was rude and said I cannot change your address due to a computer glitch today

I've had a lot of difficulties with SSA but Kiera (spelling) was wonderful. She qualified me quickly and got right on task. She was able to provide the correct information and got me onto the rest of my day. Sorry to the employee that I didn't get her name completely correct but it's a unique name so I'm quite sure she'll be recognized, I hope.

Bangor Social Security Administration has got to be the least reliable office on the planet. The request information then don't write it down. They wait until the the day before benefits to tell you you're not getting any and that's if they bother to tell you at all.

Whoever I spoke to this morning was fabulous! She took the extra time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and even went the extra mile with helpful suggestions on hand delivering my forms versus faxing them! 5 stars!

As of 06-09-2021 still not taking appointments except for those that have never had a SS card. Phone experience was great though. Fairly short hold time, extremely helpful. Walked me through everything needed to take care of changes.

Folks usually just post when they are angry. But I want to say what a pleasant, polite, helpful person I spoke to when I called to change my direct deposit information. She answered all my questions and she could not have been nicer.
