Sun Run Cafe and Bakery
One of the best cafes I’ve ever been to! Friendly service, lots of vegetarian options, fresh ingredients and buns! It’s worth stopping in even if it’s a little out of the way of your route. You won’t be disappointed! I had the egg and mushroom, and the veggie. Both delicious but I highly recommend the veggie. Oh and the prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality. I’ll be back! Thanks for the great experience

Food quality and flavour is exceptional for the price. Baked goods are excellent. The coslaw is unreal, so fresh and not super creamy. Staff are friendly and efficient. Even though this is a small cafe, it is impressive how much food this place can put out. Breakfast and lunch are both great. Their homemade buns are excellent. Yum yum yum.

Thrilled to find this gem totally worth the drive on a gloomy, chilly day. I added chicken to the apple & brie sandwich. My son had the all-in breakfast sandwich and my husband said his burger is one of the best he's ever had. All bread/buns made fresh. We loved the slaw and garlic scape potato salad. For dessert we stuffed ourselves with carrot cake, upside down peach cake and a cinnamon buns. Mmm so good!!! Busy place with excellent service and very clean washrooms. Indoor and outdoor seating avail. Gf breads also made fresh in house but we didn't have them so can't vouch for it :)

Tried their daily special peameal on a bun, egg cheese bacon sandwich, The Work" sandwich which had egg bacon lettuce tomato. Peameal on a bun came with three pieces of peameal

My favourite place to stop on the way to cottage country. Pastries are amazing and the sandwiches are the best lunch you can have in Madawaska valley.

We had the most wonderful breakfast on our way through Maynooth at Sun Run! We were so excited to see multiple vegan options on their menu and they were all delicious - we had the veggie sandwich and the chickpea patty burger. The ice tea was made from scratch and we're still thinking about how tasty it was! We were hoping to visit this place on our way back too, but sadly we missed their Sunday hours. It's great to know that there's a great place with really top notch vegan options on the way to Algonquin. 5 stars isn't enough!!!

Everything we ordered was delicious. They serve the best salads (not too saucy with the dressing) I've ever had at a restaurant before and their homemade bread and chickpea and bean patties are fantastic. The staff are super friendly and the coffee is on point!
