My son and I visited this iconic music store this weekend. My son found the guitar he has been looking for some time now. A beautiful 1958 Fender Telecaster reissue. Scott and Andrew where amazing to work with. They answered all our questions, set us up to try a few guitars to compare. Overall a wonderful experience. I highly recommend all musicians to visit this store. I am sure these folks will look after you with amazing customer service.

I was looking for a very specific guitar and Gear Music shows it in stock on their web site. I emailed on a Friday evening and to my surprise actually got a response that same evening. Through the course of Saturday they confirmed what I was looking for was in stock, opened up a boxed guitar and sent me pictures, and had their technician confirm the guitar was in perfect working order. On Monday I completed the transaction and the item shipped, and it was delivered very quickly.Ordering a guitar and having it shipped to another province without ever actually having played it was a bit of a strange situation for me, but huge thanks to Scott and Dave for being kind and very helpful. I'm very pleased with my purchase and I'm extremely pleased with the interaction - I highly recommend this company.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the gents that helped me out over the last week. Had two guitars serviced. Every interaction I had whether it was over the phone or in person, was top notch. Extremally respectful & knowledgeable staff. Took the time to answer any questions I had & were very welcoming. If you are looking for a proper & honest shop make sure you give them a shout. They got both my dads old acoustic & my grandpas old Jazz master sounding perfect after sitting untouched for 20+ years.

Got a great setup and new LPSuper friendly staff

Brought my guitar in for a setup/intonation after purchasing it from its previous owner. Not only did it come back playing perfectly, the turnaround time was blazing fast. Also, this particular guitar has a matte finish which is really touchy about any sort of oil or grease. Thankfully, it came back looking fresh as a daisy.Thanks Keith!

I have always had good experiences with the staff and services provided at gear music. They’re a small store but in the past 10+ years that I have been coming to them they have always had an interesting selection of great products for both beginners and professionals. Their staff (especially Scott) have always been incredibly helpful and a pleasure to talk to. One of the things that keeps me coming back to the store over and over again is their guitar techs, who have always impressed me with their work. I have owned over 20 guitars in my life and have gotten setups for them all over the GTA and the guys at gear have consistently blown the competition away with the quality of their work. With this being said no one is perfect, and after 10 year I had my first disappointing experience with a difficult setup I had gotten done there. I don’t believe that it is reasonable to expect perfection from anyone, but this experience left me upset because I assumed that it was just something that I would have to live with. Now this is what sets gear music apart from every other music store big and small is their commitment to their customers, immediately after hearing that I wasn’t happy with my setup they reached out to me and offered to make it right. The staff here are not only the best people I have ever encountered in a music store, they are some the best people I have ever had the good fortune of conducting business with as a customer.

I came across this local Canadian business online while searching for a specific product, it was hard to find but Gear had it in stock!!. The customer service I’ve received here is simply beyond five star. Scott has been so responsive and helpful, patient with all my questions. Shipping was processed very quickly the next business day. Thank you so much I will definitely be a returning customer.

Love Gear Music!Super friendly guys, fast responses, know their inventory, excellent price on my trade in, really high end and interesting guitars to choose from! They have nice rare stuff that had me there for over an hour trying to decide between different guitars. They let me play and play and joined in playing and discussing all the angles to help me decide which was the better fit.This is what you want out of a guitar shop all day long.
