Citadel Oral & Facial Surgery

I had the worst experience coming into this place. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude to me before I went in for my surgery she argued with me about my payment as I had a payment plan sorted out with the financial coordinator which was located at the Halifax location, due to me not having full coverage. I had to call the Halifax location myself and sort it out because she was giving me such a hard. when I came back and told her that the payment I was about to give her was correct, she was still very rude about it. I did not expect that considering I already had anxiety about my surgery and they should treat their clients with respect. When I went into the room for my surgery I still experience a terrible time. They just stuck the IV in my arm without telling me what they were doing they didn’t ask me if I was doing ok .. I am a health care worker myself and I couldn’t believe the way they treated me . My husband told me that we should leave and go somewhere els after being so disrespected but I have already waited a couple months for my appointment and I just wanted to get it over with. I do not recommend this place at all . If there was a 0 star that’s what I would have given them .

Not the first time I’ve had horrible service here. Not going back. They tried to charge me 3k for wisdom teeth removal. I had an appt waiting for months and months to have a tooth removed that’s been broken for a while now. They booked me on the wrong day and tried to blame me when I showed up to the day and the time I was told. It was an expensive day as I live far away and needed child care etc. I even called exactly a week before my appt to make sure everything was fine because I hadn’t received any calls, text, email, letter, anything for any information on what to expect. They couldn’t even give me a price but expected me to pay that day. Insanity. Horrendously ignorant staff just staring at me like I have 2 heads. I have the phone calls proof and original appointment. Even heard one girl tell another the appt was changed but turned around and just said sorry about that. People have busy lives. A sorry doesn’t cut it. This was a huge loss financially for my family. A shame.

My Granddaughter had her wisdom teeth taken out by the wonderful Dr. Emmanuel in dartmouth. She had no pain or swell. recovered almost right aways and staff were accommodating about her anxietys. Thank you god bless.

Perfect experience here. I was a bit skeptical based off some of these reviews but the staff were very personable and kind. They walked me through the process and all went smoothly. Thank you Dr Powell and staff!

Dr. Powell and his team did a great job with my lower wisdom teeth extractions. Friendly staff that ensured I was comfortable before and after the procedure. Also, the cost was slightly less than the quote I received over the phone which is always nice since the surgery went well.

Utterly dreadful service!! Waited for 40 minutes after my appointment time before someone came for me. There was no apology for the wait. Once in I was met with hostility and a quick brush off “consult” from Dr Lisa Johnson. Thank goodness for private/work insurance. At nearly $200 for a consult that literally lasted 5 minutes don’t go here if you don’t have dental coverage. Make sure you are covered completely before you go!! Awful!!

Extremely disappointed with their service. I went in for a consultation and months later they sent me a bill for 140$ without indicating what it was for. I was confused as I had cancelled an secondary appointment and wanted to make sure I wasn't getting charged for that. I also think if you are going to charge someone for a service that you outline what that service is on the bill. I've been ripped off by dentists before by being charged twice for the same procedure. I called and left multiple voice messages but never heard back. Then I get a letter saying that if I don't pay right now they're going to collections agency.

I’m so impressed with my experience at Citadel. The clinic is sparkling clean, and every staff member I interacted with was so kind. I had all four wisdom teeth removed with IV sedation and it went as well as it could have. I don’t remember the procedure itself which is what I was hoping for. Would definitely recommend!

Professional and caring staff. Very thorough postoperative instructions. Smooth process the entire procedure for patient and carer. Attended with both daughters this year for wisdom teeth extractions and both had very positive experiences.

best oral surgery place ever! i just had my wisdom teeth removed and the staff, from the second i walked in to the second i left were absolutely amazing! special shout out to dr powells assistant who i can’t remember his name!! he was absolutely amazing and helped me make an informed decision as to what sedation route to go- and made me feel soooo comfortable! dr powell is also absolutely amazing! after waking up from the sedation, i was met with the most incredible recovery nurse! thank you dr powell and team!
