I bought an Elfbar 5000 that was faulty out of the box. When I returned to the shop two days later, they refused to compensate me or simply replace the faulty product. If a company won't stand behind the products they sell. I can't recommend doing business with them. With multiple options in the area, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.*Update - Copy of my response emailHello,I’ve read your response to my google review and you are incorrect on a number of key points. I’m not sure if you’re the gentleman I spoke with instore or an associate so I will clarify.I did purchase the vape on the 27th of March. Correct. However, I stated the vape did not work as intended out of the box.First, when I opened the packaging and tried the vape, later that day after returning home, the vape would continue to ‘cook’ after I finished a draw. This was indicated by the LED being on/flickering and an accompanying crackling sound from the element. The vape was also leaking juice after the first initial draws. I’m assuming an internal leak shorted the electronics causing the failure.Second, the product did not fail after a week of use. As stated above it failed nearly immediately. I returned when I did because I’m not from Brantford, I usually pass through it though. The next time I passed through Brantford was the day I was in your storefront. I also conveyed this to the associate.Third, the picture shown has a single scratch on the unit. How you deduced it was “clearly dropped a couple times” is your prerogative. But what I can say is, the unit was more likely scratched by my car keys in my pocket; where the two items usually reside together.As you can see, your response is inadequate by including assumptions that do not accurately represent the situation and provides no solution by hiding behind ‘policy’ that you likely created yourself (I’m unsure if you guys are a franchise or not). I’ve since recycled the unit because shortly after being in your store the unit wouldn’t turn off and potentially posed some kind of risk. I wasn’t going to wait to find out, given that lithium-ion batteries can be very reactive.The solution I would like to see is a replacement for the faulty unit. I can’t exactly say I’m a loyal customer, I’ve only been to your store a handful of times at this point, but always enjoyed the friendly environment and helpful assistance. But I can say, at this point, you have lost potentially hundreds of dollars of future purchases because you’ve refused to replace a customers faulty $30 vape. That doesn’t seem like a winning long-term strategy, but too each their own. If you make this situation right I’d be happy to change my review to frame your store in a more positive light. But until then I have to stick to my point that, if a company won't stand behind the products they sell. I can't recommend doing business with them.Thank you for your time,Brady
