Attended a 4 day conference. The dorm rooms I stayed in were quite modern and had just the right amount of amenities for the short stay. The price was right and the view of the river was great.

Absolutely horrendous. Half of the first term, temperature control was not working. They don't tell students that you only get AC or heating and not both. As a matter of fact, they advertise that you have both on the residence info page. So for the first two weeks the AC was on full blast and me and my room mate didn't know how to stop it from being 15 degrees in our rooms. Then, for at least another 2-3 weeks over the term, the heating was malfunctioning with rooms sitting at 30+ degrees, some students were saying their rooms were at 35 degrees. I sent them an email letting them know that I would be moving out within a week if the heating wasn't fixed since I couldn't sleep. They genuinely don't care and take their sweet time to fix such horrendous living conditions, even with dozens of students pleading with them.Then there's the massive construction project right outside of residence. It's so loud that when I have the window open I can't even hear my friend talking to me from two feet away. It's almost impossible to study in your room which in insane for student housing. Sometimes construction would start at 8am and wake me up. There is genuinely 0 care for students living in residence. We're just a moneygrab for them, even though they advertise how nice it is to live on residence.And finally, there is the incompetence with their room cleaning services. After my first term, a cleaning lady walking into our unit yelling house cleaning

absolutely garbage of a place, the front desk are useless, unsympathetic and unhelpful. misinformation IS RAMPANT bcos all of them are saying DIFFERENT things. making a mistake is fine BUT STILL BEING VERY RUDE ABOUT IT IS JUST INTOLERABLE. just a bunch of money hungry folks.

Main dormitory for students in University of Manutoba. Also drop off of packages and mail intended for students.

My son stays at AVM and the building has been well kept.

People at the reception are basically useless, they are rude and do not care

stuck up people live there just like every other residence but owh well
