Trailsman Lodge

One of the best in Cape Breton. If you want have wonderful time than this is the best place for you. Enjoy the view of the lake with better than KFC chicken and zinger burger.You will never regret the hospitality of the wonderful team. Their excellent service and food will make you visit them again and again.Excellent service and food if I could give 10 stars I will give them.

Overall, 3/5. The room itself - king bed with a lake view - was nice. Wifi was good and interestingly didn't require a password. The bed was large and comfortable, the room size was good, there's a desk and fridge. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was very curt and straight to the point. Breakfast was not good - the only passable thing was the orange juice. I'm also not sure why the server decided to vacuum the dining room during breakfast? This was the most expensive place I've stayed in during my 2+ week in Nova Scotia but it certainly wasn't the best - value for money I'd choose elsewhere next time.

The location is amazing. The staff who served breakfast in the morning was helpful and nice, but the guy at reception needs to work on his customer service. Wifi never worked.

We were there on Canada day long weekend for two nights, group of 8. Had a great time there, staff is amazing, welcoming. They gave us two rooms with shared deck, allowed us to do barbecue just next to the rooms. This is the place we are staying whenever we are going back to cape Breton island.

It was really nice staying there. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The place qas very clean and had great services. I highly recommend staying there.

If you haven't stayed here while in Baddeck you need to check it out. The room was spotless the beds were so comfortable and management were awesome. They have a restaurant with free breakfast and the most delicious burger. The menu was limited but very delicious

I stayed at the Trailsman Lodge last month with my wife and our 5 month old, after we had finished the cabot trail. Our stay was very enjoyable and this hotel is very reasonably priced considering it's location and the amenities it offers. Our room had a lakeview and the stay also included a free breakfast, that was also delicious. Anybody who is in the area and needs to book a hotel, consider the trailsman lodge.
