I went yesterday 20 minutes before closing time and enjoyed great service. The lady helping me was the most clear, detail oriented and effective. She even stayed after closing time to let me finish my shopping without rushing me.

ROAM is a great outdoor shop! Nice range of brand name stock and good seasonal offerings. Right now, it is all about skiing, emphasis on backcountry. Staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It's a go to place in Nelson. Tried and true!

Love this store! Very friendly staff, they always help me when I need it. I've purchased a kayak from them and did a payment plan and they were so kind. Planning on purchasing another one soon and some bars for my car! I highly recommend this store :)

Rob the knob (the owner) was very rude and arrogant when dealing with a mistake made by the shop. He even charged me for further time spent working on my gear to fix the mistake they made. I've never been more frustrated or unimpressed with a shop experience before.

Love ROAM-- these guys have amazing customer service and are there to support you with any issues you might face with the products you purchase from them. We don't make major ski purchases from anywhere else in town based purely on customer service experience.

Good solid option for both rental and retail with lots of the backcountry gear and even info you need. Knowledgeable staff. We rented some gear for my son and it worked great. Reserved ahead. Little problem with boot fit but that happens with rental gear I guess.
