Clean and comfortable cars in very convenient locations. On top of that, their customer service is absolutely fantastic. I really don’t understand these extremely low ratings.

Modo makes car free living feasible. I love being able to plan long weekend bookings well in advance and the rates are significantly cheaper than traditional rental companies. For daily drives, my preferred car is a very short walk away and is regularly cleaned and maintained. I had to go to the Zero Waste center recently and was able to pick from a large selection of vans and pick-ups to make that errand quick and easy. When I've had issues and had to call customer service they've been helpful and efficient.

Terrible customer service experience. Not understanding about extreme weather conditions required to park and charge an extra $30 for one minute over. They think sending you an email is notification when they have an app, not able to understand charges. Not easy to understand differences from other carshares and lack of empathy for new users. It honestly felt like the phone reps talk down to you. Stick with evo.

Instead of buying a van for my business I opted to try Modo. Nothing but happy with both customer service and the vehicles. I've used Vans and cars always easy and simple. In response to other reviewers complaining about, the van wasn't' cleaned

I see the low rating here, and I deeply disagree. It seems to me, that the great deal of the negative reviews are unreasonable and related to the users not fully understanding what they sign up for. Just read the handbook, for God's sake!I've been with Modo for a little over a year now.I appreciate having the opportunity to have access to a car at any time day or night without having to own one. There are several reasons I chose Modo over owning a vehicle.- Car sharing is much better for the environment and more livable cities- There's a Modo right in my building, that allowed me join Modo Plus without buying shares or paying a deposit of any kind- Besides the car in my building, there is also a handful of other Modos within a short walk, every time I need a car I'm able to book one, including booking ahead of time that allows to plan road trips- I work from home and don't need to drive on a daily basis, just for occasional errands or weekend road trips- As a new driver, I would have paid insane money for insurance if I had owned. Thank you for accepting N drivers, btw!- Modo has vehicles outside Vancouver as well (I've used one just by Departure Bay, and that allowed me to avoid all the hassle of taking a car on the ferry, will definitely do that again!)- Modo allows the users use their credit card CDLI which makes your deductible $0 in case of any accidentsMy experience has been very positive, the vehicles are well maintained and reasonably clean. I've never had any technical problems with the cars or gas cards, nor have I ever had any issues finding or accessing the cars I booked. Modo customer care has been really helpful as well.I'll happily continue driving with Modo.

This review is to Modo car share experience, not for this place. Today I booked Modo for the first time. I have to say that was not a pleasant experience. First, the car which I booked was not back on time. I called Modo and they managed to switch another car for me. Thanks. But is it possible that Modo send notification, I.e.15min before the return time to evey driver? By that way the driver will notice and may extend the book, then Modo can notify the next driver. Eventually I was 5min late for the appointment. Second, when I was back to the car's home location, another car parked there. I had to leave right away since I didn't have time to wait. What is the best way to deal with this situation?

0 (ZERO) stars are unfortunately not an option. The customer service is borderline disrespectful and non-existent.I have an email exchange that basically asscused me of stealing an item the previous person who used the car reported they had misplaced. I did see this said item in the vehicle and advised them, however, this did not stop the Modo rep. from being disrespectful.Calling Modo customer service and asking basic questions gave the impression that I was not to call back as the answers were delivered in a condescending tone with the over attitude of the rep during the interaction being taciturn.Definitely canceling would not recommend using Modo.

I rented my first vehicle a month after signing up, the interior was filthy and had several points of exterior damage as well. I reported the condition of the car upon pickup and did not receive any confirmation The flier says its never more then $60, but I was billed $120 for a trip to Agassiz and back. I cancelled my acct after the first experience. I do not recommend Modo as a rental car option.

I find it interesting that Modo will allow people learning to drive to use their cars for practice. Yet, I can’t get a membership with my Class 5 because I don’t have 2 years experience under my belt. It’s much easier to join EVO.
