I have really enjoyed working with HME in Victoria. Brianna went above and beyond, was personable, and always made sure I was satisfied with the service. We worked with her to get equipment for a family member whose mobility is declining. Brianna was so helpful in advising us which equipment would be best, as she was very knowledgeable and had clear, prompt communication. She has a client-centred approach, which was very refreshing and made the whole process so much easier. 10/10 would recommend Brianna!

We rented a wheelchair for my father a couple years back. It was to be direct billed to his benefits, but the accounting department never took care of the process from their end, despite numerous requests. Of late the wheelchair required repairs, and trying to contact this Victoria store was so difficult, often my call was answered in Kelowna or Richmond, who could not assist, promised someone will call back, but never did. Today is the only day the clerk was helpful and informative. That said we are no longer renting a wheelchair from this organization, and recommend you look elsewhere.

Amazing. The personal service from connor was above and beyond! We made a last minute request that they hadn't received in time for our delivery and connor was amazing and went back and picked up the item for us! Highly recommend!

What an awesome company. From an over-the-phone quote to installation, HME employees were helpful, pleasant, respectful, and professional. Jonathan made the whole process easy. He was clear about what was needed and he made the appointment arrangements easy to understand. Reg came and installed the bars in our bathtub. He was a great guy, focused, cheerful, and helpful. Not super expensive and Jonathan provided us with potential rebates through the government. Great company!

HME stands behind their product with excellent response, communication and repairs. I especially appreciated the extra care by providing hands on training to ensure wheelchair is used to it's full potential keeping in mind safety and to prevent possible damage. We have purchased many items from HME over the past few years to make our home more accessible and to accommodate the health needs of my dear husband. The first two items we purchased were Bruno Elan stairlifts (both outdoor and indoor). The next item was a Joerns electric bed with a special Quattro pressure release mattress system. Steven Banh was the sales rep with whom we dealt for the purchase of the bed. My husband and I found Steven to be very knowledgeable, professional and caring. He made numerous trips to our home to provide information prior to our decision and follow-up service after our purchase. We came to regard Steven as a good friend. Recently, the battery charger on our indoor stairlift suddenly stopped working. When Stephen became aware of the problem and the need for the stairlift to be functional, he drove a great distance from the Victoria showroom to our home to personally deliver the required part. My husband has been dealing with the progression of PLS (a rarer form of ALS) since 2018, and HME Victoria have been our equipment support partners every step of the way. Over these four years, we have developed a real friendship with staff members who go out of their way again and again to find creative solutions to adapt to my husband's continually changing physical-care needs. From installation (and later removal) of an outdoor stair lift, to bedside poles to tub chairs, to a bathroom ceiling-track lift system, to the McGyver-esque creative tech maintenance of an aging ALS Society-donated wheelchair to, finally, our purchase of a new custom powerchair, they have done everything possible to help with our limited budget and (often infuriating) medical insurance provider. HME's fantastic working relationship with our equally longtime and exceptional local OT has made for the best possible care for my husband. I would not hesitate to recommend our friends at Victoria HME to anyone needing home-care and mobility support.

I recently became paralyzed and HME Victoria has been wonderful with providing me with all the equipment I need to make my life a little easier. I have been working with Connor for all my equipment needs and he’s been great at delivering/setting up everything in a very timely manner. Recently I had an equipment problem with my issued hospital bed and he was able to get it fixed for me within just a few hours of me notifying him. It’s reassuring to know that I can rely on them for my medical equipment needs.

Edit - It seems the cause for the confusion stems from promises made verbally by one unscrupulous salesperson, who to my understanding no longer works for the company. I'd like to think the reason for that is that HME found his conduct unethical. I can understand the difficult situation this has put HME in. I still think they could have done more, however my mother wishes the matter to be considered resolved.This company will tell you lies and take your or your loved one's money and renege on their promises and agreements. My mother purchased a stair lift for her home from this disreputable, despicable company, choosing them over several other options explicitly because they offered a buyback guarantee, promising they would take the equipment back and pay her a fair price for it. Now, 4 years later, when she is having to move to assisted care, they tell her they discontinued that policy. They'll happily give her a quote in the ballpark of $750 to remove the equipment though.Buyers beware. Get it in writing and keep a lawyer on retainer. They will rip you off.

The installation of the equipment was smooth and professional. The maintenance during the warranty period was also excellent. However, a customer needs to make sure that anything that a sales rep may promise regarding policy MUST be in writing. Otherwise HME will not acknowledge that misinformation may have been given and therefore will not rectify an issue. It is difficult to prove a verbal assurance.
